I would be interested to hear from people in Adelaide how you are enjoyng the new station.

Is it the same programming as for Melbourne or is it different?

Do people enjoy 5AA more?

What is SENs strengths and weaknesses?
 
I really enjoy it.

I basically listen to SEN all day until KG & Cornesy come on. Kevin Bartlett is excellent and has a huge knowledge of all sports, and the whole content has improved with the start of the footy season. It is good for getting a lot more detail on teams apart from Adelaide and Port.

One of the things I like is that they allow everyone their opinion and don't tell them how stupid they are, regardless of whether they are or not.
 
It has improved no end since footy started. I listen to it as much as possible & only listen to dumb & dumber now when they are interviewing someone from the AFC.

I'm still not a big fan of their drive show. But it has improved.

It is getting smashed by AA in the ratings though.
 
I love it. I listen to it all the time now and only when they have commercials on in the drive time show do I change it over to the 2 fossils KG & Cornsey. I find them better to listen to because they don't jump down people's throats when they have an opinion and they don't have any secret love children like Lleyton Hewitt.

I listen to SEN quite a bit. The obvious advantage is that it is on 24 hours a day. It is pretty much the same as what Victorians get although there are a couple of times when it has it's own SA programming (eg SANFL games on Saturdays).

The main difference between it and 5AA is that 5AA cover 24 hours of sports news in 3 hours, so at that time of the day if you're looking for a total roundup of sport then 5AA will get those listeners. While SEN has more time to focus on one thing for a lot longer, which it does. And it spends more time obviously on Melbourne issues, which can be good at times and boring at others.
 
I have trouble tuning in to either because my car radio is crap and combined with the poor transmission quality of both 5AA and SEN, it's hard to get a good signal. I end up on the ABC most of the time (it's a mystery to me why the ABC can put a clear signal out everywhere, and SEN/5AA disappear every time you pass a power pylon).

When I can listen, I generally prefer SEN these days, they've become a lot more interesting now the footy has started.
 
A mixed bag for mine.

KB is excellent and doesn't just tow the boring Victoria is everything line. I turned off the drive show after one listen, because they are just that.

And I almost had a prang when Michael Davis from the Australian said it didn't feel like the start of the season on the Thursday before the Bris St Kilda clash because the game wasn't in Melbourne. What a tosser.

Less of that and newly retired footballers covering for their mates all the time and more KB and Frank Leach being funny.
 
its funny, you lot must be the 2. something they got in the ratings. They're not rating atm, despite obviously lots of ppl on here who follow it, but you never know it might improve as the season gets going. Not sure whats wrong with 5aa, they are more pro-crows if anything (apart from Saturdays ofcourse). For some reason im more a fan of MMM atm, not for the footy, but the songs, they’ve got a good mix.
 
Its pretty good, but as far as popularity goes its nearly gone completely. Down to about 1% of the ratings, where 5DN was around 6%....I don't think it will last :(

I actually think Kevin Bartlett is a bit of an asshat, he thinks he is always right and gets quite stuck into someone when he considers they are wrong. Very much a know-it-all.

3D or JJJ. I only listen to 5AA and SEN at work because I don't get good FM reception in the office.
 
Hey **** i was listening to JJJ about a week ago and it had a song that had the line ..... 'this is my time'.... but i cant find it on the net, just wondering if you know who it is by or its title?

This song is also used to intro some movies off the net, some guy who records them off the screen, he is called 'mavin'.

Anyway if you have absolutely no idea wat i'm talking about then dont worry.
