We're going to start gassing our Jewish population then, is that what your saying?

Make a few on here happy I suppose but I'd really be kind of strongly against it myself.

Have to wait until he starts to grow a 'Blakey' type moustache I suppose before your supposition is given even the remotest shred of credibility.

No response to how well our Latin American left wing brethern are doing/or did I notice either....
No not Jews, because that would upset his buddy bush, but other minorities better run & hide. :(

I don;t give a **** about other countries politics, if it doesn't directly affect Australia which those countries don't, I am only worried about Australia turning into the biggest facist country since Hitlers Germany.

Amazing how all the right wingers always refer to other countries politics, if someone isn't happy with the right, seems to be a long ingrained scare tactic, reds under the bed, terrorists living next door, blah blah blah.

Edit: Yes I know I just referred to another countries politics, but that was only because you brought up the Castro thing, in my original post, I only referred to Australia, no mention of other countries, hence my point.

Oh.. so it'd be okay by you if it WERE the Jewish population.. you're just upset that it's confined to 'other minorities'. Glad we have cleared that misconception up.

Gee and to think Franco wasted all those years when Howard was just waiting for the right time to turn us into a facist state....

Amazing how all the right wingers always refer to other countries politics, if someone isn't happy with the right, sems to be a long ingrained scare tactic, reds under the bed, terrorists living next door, blah blah blah.
Where have I mentioned terrorists or reds under beds? My statement was look to how the country has gone with a predominate Liberal govt in charge for the last half century. Haven't seen jack-marching in the streets here yet, have you? Your hysterical outburst and comparisson are delusionary ramblings of a kind that I normally wouldn't respond to. Yet tonight, I'm bored and I'm responding. Australia is doing (still) pretty well when you do look around (or do you want a return to Calwell and the "two wongs don't make a white" days) when you say you're not interested in 'other countries' politics.

Edit: Yes I know I just referred to another countries politics, but that was only you broght up the Castro thing, in my original post, I only referred to Australia, no mention of other countries, hence my point.
I brought up the Castro thing to illustrate that any dictatorship left-wing OR right-wing should be viewed for what they are, dictatorships.

We live in a democratic and free country. We've now got a senate where there is a one-party majority. It is NOT going to turn us back fifty years into facist Germany.. or any other facist country for that matter. It's not even going to turn us into a socialist dictatorship when Labor does eventually get 'it's turn' to govern either.

All it's going to do is give an elected goverment control of both houses to pass legislation that it's been elected by the majority to do so. We don't like, we vote em out in three/four years.

You think it's anything more than that fine, you live in your little world of paranoia and I'll be quite happy to live in a country where I'm able to post things like this without the gestapo coming around and dragging me off into the nigh.... arrrrrhhhhhhgggg.....

When does that vote (to form a gestapo) go before the senate? It's a new one on me but I haven't been keeping up with the news much of late... must have slipped past when I wasn't looking.

I have slight right wing leanings and that makes me a facist? Gee, I don't recall when I asked for the removal of all non-whites (better tell the asian missus) from the country.

What I really want to know is how Howard is going to over-ride his entire front and back bench, both the upper and lower house, persuade the three tiers of the military to his total control, get the entire federal and state police dept's to accept his 'mandate' and turn Australia into a facist state ALL through a couple of seats senate majority?

Sorry but if you can explain that to me I'll join you in your little freedom fighting brigade (there is a freedom fighting brigade isn't there? maybe we can call it 'shinning path' or something really good like that)...

Peruvian post? More leftist junta speak?..

As to my Gestapo ref, yea, I did bring the name in after you first brough in how we're going to become Germany (or the same sort of facist state in which a gestapo existed). Would it of been better if I'd of said terrorists/reds from under my bed?...

Still no actual demonstration from you on how Howard is going to bring this facist state into actuality yet. Any chance of addressing that question? Any at all?...

Should provide the coalition with just enough rope to hang themselves. I've seen it before in state politics. And lets face it, Labor aren't gonna win govt in the next 3 years, the Libs will need to lose it.

After you brought in Cuba, when I never mentioned any other country but Australia, but typical, you keep forgetting you brought up other countries poitics FIRST.

How can I, not sure how he is going to do it yet, but he will, then you will have your answer.

Oh and mantis.. check who's been running/elected govt of the country for the majority of the last half-century. Then compare how ruinous our path is compared to say.. that big continent to our east (been a plethora of left wing govt's there.. junta's if you will) and compare how we're going. Onya Fidel.. onya Evita.. onya bike.
This was your reply to my post in all I said was "Well done liberal voters, you have started the downfall of Australia, we are screwed".

So you are the one that introduced other countries politics, not me, now apologise, oops I forgot, you are a jounny supporter, you never say sorry, or adnit you are wrong. pppfffttt.

Such depth, such insight, such clarity.. why why why couldn't I see it before. Not yet but he WILL.

It's all so crystalised now, thanks for clearing it up.

Yep and I'm still asking HOW we're any different to what we have been for the last fifty odd years (primarily) under Liberal national rule.

So you are the one that introduced other countries politics, not me, now apologise, oops I forgot, you are a jounny supporter, you never say sorry, or adnit you are wrong. pppfffttt.
I introduced other countries yea but show me again who FIRST mentioned GERMANY and who first mentioned FASCISM as OUR destiny now that Howards govt has been returned??

Hint hint.. it was you.. hint again.. it was YOU.

Now.. just in case you missed it, here is a hint.. the person that first mentioned GERMANY AND FASCISM and that Australia was now irrevocably headed down that path was MANTIS a.ka YOU.

Oh and what am I meant to apologise over btw? Introducing subjective argument over how some left wing govt have fared in their roles in charge of ruling over their countries? Sorry for that.

I like the way alot of people are advocates of preferential voting but only when it suits them. I dont have any issue with a party getting in because it got more votes than another. First past the post everywhere.

The greens progressive? I would call ending all nuclear reactors in the world, negative population growth, wealth taxes, much higher income tax etc etc extremely regressive economic measures. Unemployment would soar in Australia if the Greens ever got to introduce their policies and it would be the poor who would suffer the most. How anyone in Tas can vote for the greens after the debacle of them being in power is beyond me. It was an unimitigaged disaster and Christine Milne is quite possibly the most average MP I have ever had the displeasure to listen to. Almost single handedly responsible for destroying thousands of jobs on the north west and west coast of Tas.
we really need more nuclear reactors and we just gotta keep the population going because 7 billion people just aint enough

As amused as I am by all this panic, I feel the need to provide a little history lesson.

Hitler was the head of the national SOCIALIST party..AKA, the Nazis. His domestic/economic policies were fairly left wing ( major government spending to get people employed, etc ).

The whole 'far right' thing came about because of the hatred the Nazis had with the Communists, and of course, if you're against the left, that makes you the right, doesn't it? The truth of the matter is that they were opposed primarily because they were both battling for the support of the same people ( the working class ).

My point, before anyone acuses me of anything is that left/right is too simplistic.

Jesus this is ignorant - the extent of the left wing comparison was the impact of War Keynesianism on the economy - Since when has messianic Will to Power been a left wing phenomenon.

Ever heard of Stalin? Mao? even Lenin ( although to a lesser degree than the other 2 ).

Will of Power, cult of personality, these are nice catch phrases but which ever way you want to dress it up fascist dictators are just the same as communists dictators. They all want to control the means of production.Thats very much a leftist ideal.

There was State Control during the Nazi era but the profits went straight into the pockets of the Junkers capitalists which was very unllike Soviet Russia -

Anyway mate its your world now go off and by an Audi on Credit sit in a cafe in South Yarra and bitch about welfare cheats and lazy workers - Welcome to Howards Australia

By the way it is no "Will of Power" it was "Will to Power" which the Nazis wrongfully appropriated from Thus Spake Zarathustra

Just to clarify..I was not arguing that left=bad.

If you want a historical example of the right win 'ideal', look at victorian England...businesses had so much power, and the conditions for the 'common man' were abysmal.

Meh.I'm not particualry a fan of Howard.I certainly don't approve of his foreign policies and treatment of refugees. I just want to live in a country as free as possible from government intervention.Australia's doing pretty well as far as i can tell.I've been to quite a few countries and i'd say our standard of living be it for, rich or poor, compares well to anywhere in the world.Do tell me which country you see as the "ideal" that we could emulate.

I certainly don't bitch about "welfare cheats or lazy workers". Seems to me the majority of the bitching around here is being done by the left.
