an awful lot of club sources quoted. We are leakier than something that has a lot of holes and leaks a lot.

“While Bombers players are yet to be told of the plan, club sources have confirmed to The Age the move will be announced in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon at the club's headquarters in Tullamarine.”

so how do the players find out? wouldn’t they all be hungover as fu** today?

Poor players, finding out later than everyone else, how will they cope, hungover as well, definitely will derail the preseason.

So who do we look to (blame) next year if we have poor performances again? Another year of Woosha telling us about learnings and players driving their own performance? Or Rutten who doesn't get to defend his own strategies?

The big difference between this and Sheedy/GWS is that everyone knew they were developing and weren't going to be playing finals for years etc. The other big difference is they didn't have a million supporters Australia wide judging the decision week in week out.

This has a 'me too' look all over it but it's not apples for apples. Dangerous decision imo.

Fwiw, from the inside knowledge I have from the playing group, the players absolutely love Rutten. I definitely think that played a major part in the decision.

This is sort of what happened at Pies with Malthouse and Buckley. Mick had a very good final year and resented having to hand over.
He had an even better year before.

Difference here is it’s 1 year and Woosha goes back to Perth. There’s no real Buckley as senior and Malthouse as coaching director scenario.

The Age article mentioned ....

If Worsfold chooses to stay, he will move from being senior coach to director of coaching, but club sources said Worsfold, whose family is in Western Australia, may return home at the end of next season.
