As for bunsen burner, in regards to Kuklinski, I can't really comment on whether he was lying or not. I don't know enough about the mafia stuff to know whether he was involved in those hits, and I can't determine if all the random killings were realistic. But it's a valid angle. If you can get links or some evidence or something I'd like to have a look myself.
I've done my diligence and couldn't be bothered doing it again. Look up the articles on Castellana and Galante killings. In both caes a car load of killers ambushed them either outside or inside a restaurant. Kuklinksi claims he was an extra lone gunman on both occasions and mysteriously no one else knew about it. It only takes common sense to realise he is full of it. His claims are nothing short of comical.

One thing I have learnt is that the murderer could actually get off but eventually they just crack and tell the cops. The other night a lady said she hadn't touched a safe then they found her fingerprints and said she had been lying. She cracked and told them everything even though they wouldn't of had enough evidence to convict her.

Yeah I always wonder about that, most of them are pretty stupid.. I reckon it's pretty funny when they do the 'good' cop, 'bad' cop thing.

Forget CSI and all your ordinary run of the mill mainstream crap, this is a must see for all you wannabe serial killers in here ;).

Apparently it is somewhat of an inspirational film also - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Natural_Born_Killers_copycat_crimes

I used to watch The First 48 all the time. Probably been a couple of years since I've seen an episode now.

Actually got the first season of The FBI Files the other day.

Just watched a doco on a serial killer from South Africa, Moses Sithole. Murdered 37 women and a child all because of someone turning him in for rape, which he did commit, but because of his warped views about woman, thought he was being wrongly convicted. And to make things worse, he contracted AIDS while in jail, and guess what? The government gave him the best treatment available, while his wife and daughter died from it as they were poor.:thumbsd:

Mate, he has confessed to this murder in Peru and also the Natalee Holloway's murder 5 years ago.

Do some research into his story. His friend hid Holloway's body and it's never been found which is why he was never convicted of that, despite admitting to it in front of a hidden camera.

He even tried to extort the Holloway family in order for information about the whereabouts of their daughters body. The US Government was involved with that and he'll probably get extradited to the US to face charges over that if he ever gets out of prison.

He was using that money to finance his trip to Peru where he committed his second murder, coincidentally exactly 5 years after his first.

With the bad prison conditions in Peru I hope he serves a long, painful sentence and gets shot in the head the minute he gets let out.

I know he confessed to killing Stephanie Flores and we may know the full details about the Natalie Hollaway death soon.
However, to me this doesnt make him a serial killa

Perhaps your definition of serial killa is diferent to mine, but someone who snaps in a fit of rage and strangles a girl to death and then flees the country leaving a massive trail of evidence isnt the work of a serial assasin.
Serial Killaz dont get caught that easily and you usually rack up atleast a handful of deaths before they get caught.

^ Yeah I remember that case. Terrifying.. imagine doing something as mundane as filling your car up with petrol, thinking you could get shot. Shocking case.

Anyway, off topic, but is it April Fools Day today?? Cause I read in the paper today that Ian Thrope (yes ex-swimmer Ian) is doing some acting.

And he's playing a serial killer.

-facepalm-

Bloody oath he was! Some of his descriptions are simply horrific, with that Chase guy not far behind.

Just imagine been one of those parents that went to see Fish to find out how their son died..

The whole Snowtown murders is pretty sickening...reading about Bunting just sends chills down your spine, such an evil and manipulative freak.

I could not imagine what it would be like for any family listening to a serial killer talk in court like your lost love one is nothing more than a piece of worthless meat to them, truly sickening.

The most bizarre serial killer case I have heard of is the "Son of Sam", from New York City in the late 1970s.

The crimes seemed to revolve around his obsession with the man next door, the man's family, and their labrador dog.

Fish is easily the most disturbing out of this lot. The level of detail in that description is just disgusting, I can't imagine what the parents of that poor kid must have felt.

Does the picture of Dennis Rader remind anyone else of George Costanza?
