Just watched a doco on a serial killer from South Africa, Moses Sithole. Murdered 37 women and a child all because of someone turning him in for rape, which he did commit, but because of his warped views about woman, thought he was being wrongly convicted. And to make things worse, he contracted AIDS while in jail, and guess what? The government gave him the best treatment available, while his wife and daughter died from it as they were poor.

I would be homicidal as well if my name was "Sithole"...

You can just tell from the photo on his Wikipedia page that he's not all there mentally. I used to love that show Forensic Investigators when it was on, easy to understand and follow with great narration.

Kemper killed and dismembered six female hitchhikers in the Santa Cruz, California, area. He then murdered his mother and one of her friends before turning himself in to the authorities. He had previously been incarcerated as a teenager for shooting both his grandparents while staying on their farm in North Fork, California.

being intelligent has nothing to do with having a sick mind, the fact that he openly admits that he is disturbed is what is so creepy imo. Handing himself into police says to me he knew he was sick and had to get himself away from society permantly. Some people unfortunately are better off either dead or in prison for life no matter how intelligent they are.

Jesus, that is certainly the worst thing I have heard a serial killer do, up there with that Fisher guy who cannabalised his victims and had them in his soup.

I knew one of the girls. Usually when there is a serial killer in a city the whole city will be in panic mode. This was different. One normal day, go to bed, wake up, and all over the news a story broke about a serial killer. No one had a clue until the story broke after they were caught.

I remember the names of the girls being read out and shown on TV. It took me a while to twig I had known one of the girls. Then a few days later I again remembered one of my mates telling me she had run away from home and had sent letters to her (inseparable) best friend.

Geez that's scary! Sorry to hear it. I reckon it adds an element of realism to the situation, the fact that you knew someone and a couple of days later they get killed, that would really freak me out. It just shows that there really are some screwed up people in the world, it's no wonder parents are so over-protective these days.

The couple of days lag was between the story breaking in the media, then realising who one of the victimes was, then recalling that I had been told she had ran away from home. As I was just a past minor associate, it was freaky. I can't imagine how her family and close friends felt.

Yeah absolutely. And those 2 were some of the most heartless killers of the lot I reckon, the pictures of David Birnie doing that kiss thing to the media and spectators chills me out to this day. The victims's would've been scared our of their brains so yeah, what a horrible experience to suffer through.
