Serial Pests

Was talking about this topic recently and sure enough, Toby Greene pops up last night. I should preface my comments by saying that I'm an ex ruck (would like to say out of the Simon Madden mould but unfortunately more like Richard Lounder) and have a serious dislike towards those little pesky forward pockets / small forwards who are always mouthing off and throwing little cheap ones when they can. There are a number that easily come to mind including:

Ballantyne
Greene
Jake King
Milne
Le Cras (I've only included him as I also don't like pretty boys who are downhill skiers)

Can we build a list of "little shits" covering the decades I've been watching the game...70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's.

We pay him a lot of money to piss off the opposition, and he does an admirable job. Footy is a contact sport and physical intimidation is and always has been a part of it. He's never actually been suspended so working well to go to the edge and not cross the line so far.

I don't recall any suggestions or accusations of Kolynuik scratching anyone. Having a foreign sounding name and playing for the dogs doesn't automatically mean you should be branded a scratcher.

These players are good for footy. If all players were clean skins like Bont Merrett and Pendlebury it would be boring.

Nothing better than a campaigner winning the game for his side it pisses everyone off and i love it.

Agreed...I was being petty. Included him not because of his looks but because of his softness. Has all the skills but wasted with such a small ticker.

But yes I was being petty with him as he's not a serial pest.

Unfortunately for Greene that last line will no longer be applicable after this week. Clearly overstepped the line with the 'spoil' attempt.
