Queensland Supreme Court Justice Peter Lyons, Despite objections of the Queensland Attorney General, has found that ‘‘Adequate protection of the community can reasonably and practicably be managed by the order,’’ he ruled on Friday.

Fardon is currently imprisoned indefinitely under Queensland's Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act and has been imprisoned for sexual offences against both children and adults.
The AG lawyers had argued that Fardon was likely to breach his supervision orders and community safety could not be guaranteed.
needless to say this is going to cause a lot of noise in Queensland where a lot of people have already indicated they are not happy with this decision.
