Gee i mentioned a few posts up about Pellegrini's start to the season, now I'm here to rave about Sandro Tonali's start! These 2 weren't even at the euros... Italy is absolutely stacked in midfield.

Atalanta got absolutely outplayed by salernitana, they had the better chances before Zapata showed his class.

Wonder if there's still a hole from Papu leaving, all the trequartistas are very inconsistent.

Experience generally helps in that role

Papu was a winger/inside forward for many years elsewhere before Gasperini put him in that free-wheeling role

Just thinking if it's a problem, then someone experienced like Roberto Soriano could work who can play 8 and 10? Atalanta has a proven history of improving midtable type Serie A players. Might have a look at a few squads and see who else is around.

4-0, encouraging start by Spaletti, plenty of depth on the bench in some areas such as defence and on the wings (Manolas and Lozano on the bench is a luxury). Mertens out injured too with a shoulder will eventually return too to help the attack.

Just feel central midfield is the 1 area that could be exploited eventually, but wait and see.

I am a Soriano fan but question his age and athleticism for that role.
The big one was Zaccagni from Verona who was a better fit for Atalanta and Milan than Lazio (or a big need as it stands), unless Lazio offload one of their star midfielders soon.

this first Cagliari goal is amazing, some great goals this round (as is the norm I suppose.)

Funny how Semplici (Manager who saved Cagliari last season) and De Franchesco from Verona (Cagliari's coach before Semplici took over) were both sacked after 3 games.

Just watched the first half (and only the first half having the result spoiled), best half from La Dea this season. Inter did start brightly with Dzeko wasting a couple of good chances too but Atalanta really kicked into gear after going 1 down, which was good to see given they've been flat to start the season (as is the norm I guess).

Juve Samp early kick off tonight should be a good game.

Another win chalked up for Napoli

Got Fiorentina and Roma away in October, then about 4 weeks of negotiable fixtures then the tough run starts to come thick and fast with Inter Milan on the 22nd of November all the way up until Xmas where we'll have Lazio, Sassuolo away, Atalanta and Milan away and also Juve away first game after Xmas break, so as many points banked in the 12 matchdays before Inter would be great.

Just watched that, that was hilarious.

Watched Spezia Salernitana 2-1.
Atalanta's Kovalenko was easily best on ground, brilliant passing all game made an assist and scored from outside the box. Really makes me wonder why he's out on loan and not starting for Atalanta.
