Nahh, it's not anywhere near like it was in Europe (and they've torn the fences down in England after Hillsborough). The odd isolated incident unfortunately can't be stopped, but I doubt we'll see cages anytime soon.
I can't see it in the near future. The person in question was publicly shamed and seems to be extremely remorseful. When was the last time something like this happened?
We might be passionate about our footy but I can't really see us going the way of Europe and its on-going problems with Soccer hooliganism.
Australians are just too laid-back and we still believe in things like a fair go, reasonable-ness and a fair-minded perspective on things like footy for it to start happening here.
