Random Trivia .
Was re-watching The Conversation - the award winning neo-noir thriller movie from 1974 starring Gene Hackman - last night and my ears pricked up in a scene about one hour into the movie where Hackman's character and a woman are flirting at a party in his warehouse office. The mood piano music being played in the background of that scene is the opening theme music for Severance.
The lines being spoken at the time seemed to fit:
Hackman: 'What if you were waiting for someone?'
Woman: 'You can trust me'
Later in the movie we learn that girl was not to be trusted.
. And the music features again the the final scene when Hackman's character sits in his demolished apartment having been unable to discover a wire tap.
Had to tell someone.
As you were.
