brahj what makes the light so lime?
In the early days of theatre lighting they would use lime skin in the lights to help with the burning which gave this green colour. This light would be used mainly for lead characters. Hence "getting the limelight".

Since it isn't my turn haha

I haven't checked it out yet.

How's it compare to Good kid Maad City?
TPAB is pretty good, I'm enjoying the funk, jazz, neo-soul beats. It's a lot more to take in than GKMC, and doesn't have really any standout tracks that are easy to listen to compared to GKMC. You won't find a banger like Swimming Pools or Money Trees, however I'm a big fan of Wesley's Theory, King Kunta, The Blacker The Berry, and i.

If I had to compare the two, I'd say GKMC is a lot easier to just chill too, and that you can pick out a track seamlessly and enjoy it. With TPAB you'll have to really focus to take in all of what Kendrick's lyrics is about, and the album is probably better to listen to from start to finish as it's more cohesive to listen to that way than to just pick out certain songs.

TL;DR - It's great, give it multiple listens to really appreciate it. It's one of Kendrick's more ambitious albums but also feels very personal too.

I honestly think I'd understand a fumbler post over that one

“Limelight,” which is also known as “calcium light,” was used as stage lighting for years after being discovered by Goldsworth Gurney in the 1820s. Gurney was employed by the Surrey Institute as a lecturer in chemistry and philosophy. On the side, he did a bit of experimenting of his own. He invented an “oxy-hydrogen blowpipe,” which works by introducing a jet of oxygen and hydrogen to a flame, making it extremely hot. He found that introducing a small chunk of lime (the stone, not the fruit) to the flame resulted in a blinding white light that could be visible for miles.

A lecturer at uni said it was slightly more green and there were candle lights that used lime skin to burn. I would trust the above though. Sorry for the confusion
