He's almost 13 now and as fit as ever. When I loved out, his cage got moved to the lounge room. Every day he gets let out, flies to my room and sits in the cupboard all day. Comes out at about 6, has dinner and maybe sits with mum for a bit then it's bed time. He's a bit weird. Can talk a bit but often doesn't. Says hello, where's Matt, puppy dog (we call him puppy because he used to mimic barking), what's the puppy doing, sings Imperial March and Pop Goes The Weasel (often a mashup).

He was a rescue I guess, about 6 years ago. No idea how old he is. Will happily sit on your shoulder all day and is so so pleasant natured. But not a fan of scratches or pats. We think maybe his last owners might have been a bit cruel to him. Here he is trying to get into the apples. He talks too, says hello, good boy, kiss, whatcha doing.
Next up is Oscar, a conure.

He is the biggest sook of the lot but he's also a little shithead. Just like yours, Ant Bear, he is super intelligent. He knows if I say "want a treat?" it means he has to go into his cage and wait on the perch for me to give him a treat. He says many things: hello, hello baby, sook, good sook, good boy, baby sook, do a dump, little shit, gimme kiss, shake. Hated me before I moved out but now won't leave me alone if I'm around.
We also have another conure but I don't have a pic of him. He did belong to my cousin but she wasn't really giving him the attention he needed so we've got him now. His name is Cheeky.
If anyone ever asks what type of bird to get if they're interested, I'd say a cockatiel every time.

On Monday night Dolly and I had a fight. As she gets older it’s less common, but pretty much something we’ve done every other day her whole life.
Kelpies are my all time favourite dog. You virtually have to be on a property to own one though. Preferably with sheep for the dog to walk around on.
Nice. I‘m no expert but that’s a breeding standard unit you have there by the look of things TJ. Really great photo too.
One mistake that I made during the fires, although it wasn’t a mistake and I have a witness, was to believe that a neighbour and I had agreed that I should let my cows go immediately on a day of threat.
Seriously the smartest dogs ever. The untrained, escape artist neighbour dog I knew rounded stuff up out of protective instinct. Chickens, birds, whatever. It used to go down to the local primary school every lunchtime and he wasn’t satisfied until he had every little kid bunched in a tight unit in the middle of their playing ground. Then he just sat there with his satellite dish ears making sure nobody strayed.
In this case their were fire trucks racing up and down the road all morning. It was critical that those cows be removed. I can’t remember the dogs name, but in that family a different dog, a cat, and a young adult child had all left.
