I've never experienced them, so can't comment but I will say that as a pet bird cockatiels are on another level. They pick one person as a 'soul mate' and will show that person affection that rivals dogs. I have only had two and only one that bonded to me, that passed away a few years back. I miss that bird so much. Your bird does have that lovable appearance about it

Yeah my 93yo grandfather has one, if the bird goes before him it will be the end of him.

I was creeping on my boy the other day while he was up on the couch in his room, I was trying to take a video of him dreaming, but I woke him up accidentally and the look of "what the **** are you doing campaigner?" was unmistakable. Had to screenshot and crop to get a view of it, but the essence is still there.

Here's the newest acquisition to my all-inclusive Pet family.

This is Steve, or what he would look like if I had a macro lens capable of such a shot. He likes to hang around my laundry and eats insects. I almost vacuumed Steve up yesterday as he had wandered into my office so I need to be more careful cleaning in the future.
