Unrelated to pets as per thread but more of crop question. How wet is it your way? I’ve seen paddocks around home (Western Vic) with just far to much water for any work to be done on crops.

I think this year is slightly above average for us. We haven’t had anywhere near as much rain as the east coast. I live in an area that is in a rain shadow, basically the fronts hit the Mt lofty ranges and it pushes them up high and over us then back down towards the eastern border. We get the best rains when they come from inland Western Australia. The crop is on my land but I don’t farm I just share my land.

Last year was the best crop since we built in this land 6 years ago, it was canola and we had a return that paid off our council rates which was pretty good. The year before the farmer made a loss as the crop basically failed due to lack of rain.
