Oh ffs

It's effectively 39 bonus points to 25 over 5 sets, that's still a significant advantage. As we've all worked out, it's JT's to lose. Then you can settle back once clay season rolls around and exact some payback :p

Hopefully I have a decent lead in the rankings by then...

reggie, dog_nah shock seeds in first Grand Slam

A DISAPPOINTED JackNah has failed in the second successive tournament, with the Belgian fifth seed this time going down to unseeded Australian dog_nah. It was a shock to the entire tour given JackNah is one of the more active players. She went down 6-4 6-4 4-6 6-4 to dog_nah which showed how tight it can be in the Open. The other big shock was a straight sets win to reggie who dismissed fourth seed Australian nahnah 6-2 7-5 6-4 to open up the second half of the draw. Top two seeds Dennis Lopez and JT had no issues moving through to the second round in straight sets, with Lopez forced to work in the second set, just knocking off newcomer Brit, Headless in a tiebreaker 8-6. JT had a challenge on his hands each set, but managed to see off other newcomer Karnezis_13, 7-5 7-5 7-5. Nakia and Fizzler also advanced through to the round of 16.

For other seeds, Loonerty continued his good form to move through to the round of 16 and looking at a potential quarter final with the number one Mexican. Third seed German EJW will be pleased JackNah is out of the draw, opening up his quarter to now face Luxembourg's PhenomenalV1 who had the easiest of days out against SM, winning 6-4 6-2 6-2. NinjaSwan will be even more thankful JackNah is gone, now facing dog_nah for a spot in the quarter finals. haydo also moved through with a straight sets win over Pie 4 Life, while sportsmaniac89 and The Half Back both moved through in straight sets. As for the randoms, The Filth Wizard defeated Cloud_, Hatchy1992 defeated RodneyDangerfield and Blacky defeated philreach. The Half Back is now in the unlucky position to now face JT in the Round of 16.

Felt bad for you JackNah_8 I even triple checked the points!

I think next tournament perhaps allocating your bonus points might help? That's what a handful of players do and it adds that extra tactical side :)

Otherwise you're becoming the Belgian Sam Stosur

That's fine lol I don't care about the Australian Open.

Besides Goffin lost in the early rounds at the AO and now he is performing well

Donuts for THB as Australians continue strong run at Aus Open

TWO more seeds have departed the Australian Open as the unseeded Australians continue to impress at their home courts. haydo ousted sixth seed Loonerty in the first five setter of the tournament, coming from two sets to one down to win in five, 6-3 4-6 4-6 7-5 6-4. sportsmaniac89 also kicked out a seed, disposing of eighth seed Nakia in straight sets, 7-5 6-4 6-4. It was easier for the other seeds with world number one Dennis Lopez, German third seed EJW and Australian seventh seed Fizzler all advancing to the quarter finals. Fizzler has an uphill battle in the final eight however, when he faces second seed JT. The Mongolian did not even break a sweat, absolutely destroying New Zealander The Half Back without dropping a game.

Among the other winners, dog_nah continued his unusual winning run, using his hard court advantage to defeat NinjaSwan in four sets, while Frenchman reggie knocked off Hatchy1992 in four sets. In the quarter finals, Lopez faces haydo, dog_nah takes on EJW, reggie faces sportsmaniac89 in the unseeded quarter final, and Fizzler takes on JT. There will be at least unseeded player in the semi-finals showing the potential for upsets in the competition.

Round 2 Results:

#1 Dennis Lopez (Mexico) defeated The Filth Wizard 6-3 | 6-3 | 6-3
haydo (Australia) defeated #6 Loonerty 6-3 | 4-6 | 4-6 | 7-5 | 6-4
dog_nah (Australia) defeated NinjaSwan (Monaco) 6-4 | 6-4 | 3-6 | 7-5
#3 EJW (Germany) defeated PhenomenalV1 (Luxembourg) 6-3 | 6-4 | 6-0
reggie (France) defeated Hatchy1992 6-3 | 6-2 | 6-7 (2) | 6-2
sportsmaniac89 (Australia) defeated #8 Nakia (Netherlands) 7-5 | 6-4 | 6-4
#7 Fizzler (Australia) defeated Blacky 6-2 | 7-6 (5) | 6-2
#2 JT (Mongolia) defeated The Half Back (New Zealand) 6-0 | 6-0 | 6-0

Quarter Finals:

#1 Dennis Lopez (Mexico) vs. haydo (Australia)
dog_nah (Australia) vs. #3 EJW (Germany)
