Seems the chelsea footy club are losing a few players now with full forward dalton and fitcher leaving aswell as a couple handy players in grant uren and martin also gone! I hear a few seniors from last year have been no shows at training!.

then you have andrews gone from chelt who will be hard to replace.

Nick Jewell gone from heatherton..

and two absolute jets in harley ambrose and Kreymborg leaving the doggies...

a few hard replacements there i hope everyones recruiting well!

Looks like it could be another year for the vampires!

I wouldn't know whats going on at the Chelsea Football Club.......

Uren hasn't played for a couple years. Unfortunately due to injuries and recruits, Grant had gone back in the pecking order and is looking for a chance to play seniors, which old Heights Boy, Paul Wineberg might help him with at Ashy. The Fitchy situation has been well documented here. And while Dalsty is a loss, we have a couple other options there.

So good luck to the Vampires again...Lucky the ACC isn't investigating SFL clubs right? :p

I think losing Ambrose and Kreymborg (we are still his back up club if he's playing VFL), are easily replaced with Bruno, Kristian McCarthy (Port VFL) and Luke James.

Not to mention another 2008 premiership player coming back into the fold, i think we have covered adequately.

Will be a ripper season 2013. Can't wait.

I was just doing a quick count of loses from SFL clubs to other leagues it is well above the gains... may be a bit early but this trend is not one that has been evident in the past few seasons....

Obviously not all clearances have been submitted e.g. Our outgoings have been put in but not our incomings.

The league has been doing really well in the past few years to get an increase in total number of ins compared to outs, hopefully a fair bit of talent stays and we add to it.

Yes you are right, getting Luke James back and with Bruno that makes up a lot for any losses. Mc Carthy is a good prospect as well, any news on Simon Buckley??

From what i've been told Bucks has signed with Echuca.

His family has a place up that way so he will go up for the weekend and stay there.

Practice matches for EBFC are about the same as last year
March 16th vs Waverley Blues, March 23rd Parkdale , April 6th The Basin

Go Vampires

I think their will be a big gap between the top half and bottom half of the ladder this year, if everything you hear is right

Maybe if F & D were given what they were promised or even some of it at CH they may have stayed

Would you care to predict a ladder then? A couple of clubs have lost a lot of players
Going off what you hear around the traps,
St Pauls (Lost a couple, gained a couple. If James kicks 80 plus they will be hard to beat)
East Brighton (Haven't heard much but still a strong list)
Chelsea Heights (Always in the mix. Ageing list though)
Dingley (Will be slightly better than last year, still missing a key forward though)
St Kilda City (A few look to be returning, can cover Bruno)
Cheltenham (Some big losses, not sure on their gains).
Clayton (Haven't heard much but do seem to attract good players)
Highett (Better for the run in Divvy 1
Malvern (Wouldn't have a clue, but they will have Heatherton covered)
Heatherton (Long year. All reports they may struggle to get a Reserves side.

We lost Ambrose & Heagney Stuart from our starting 18. Gained Bruno, James, Blackwood, McCarthy plus a few more that are yet to be transferred.

IMO we will be stronger than last year but it's a long season and anything can happen.

Confirmed this week that Cheltenham and St Kilda City will kick off the 2013 SFL season under lights at Sandringham's Trevor Barker Oval on Friday 12th April. Will be the only game in Melbourne that night with the AFL in Perth.

Should hopefully be a great night for the SFL.
