is it true that Fitcher, Moor and Dalton have left Chelsea and gone to Carrum?

That's a big loss if true. Fitcher has been linked for weeks don't know about the others. Betting Barnsey is not on Puppets Xmas card list but why Division 1 Grand Finalists would want to play Division 3 is beyond me. Beggars belief! Anyone watched Division 3 recently? It's worse than Superules with less pressureyou'd think there shot at a flag will be severely dented with that

Fancy the cheek of southern dragons being assisted in their first few years in SFL only to want to jump ship.I think AFL Vic may approve it but then the MPNFL may appeal.. I heard Friday that the Southern Dragons were denied a clearance to the VAFA and they are now appealing that decision, I wonder what new material they can come up with.
Yes poor form but AFLV knocked them back so lets see what other evidence they can bring to the table. The SFL propped them up until they got themselves sorted in many ways and this is the thanks they get.

Anyone know the reasons behind their want to move??
If I were a betting man I'd say its all about the issue of paying players. Its common knowledge that they don't pay anyone at all. My thinking is they've won a premiership & been promoted to Div 2 but realise that to go any further, they need to fork out cash to players & lots of it. Going back to the VAFA they would start in D4 & work their through way to find their benchmark without player payments. Somewhere between D2-D4 I'd imagine.
We at Bentleigh have are in a similar boat & have a semi-VAFA ethos where the only people that get paid are the top 4 best players on the day for a win & top 3 players for a loss (payments are halved if we lose). A fair & honest structure.
Southern Dragons' president is pretty switched on & knows how to market his club very well. We've seen that with the Blood Oath campaign & his team appearing the AFL 'Long Way to the Top' commerical this year. Does seem unfair to accept the SFL's money & then run after 4 years though.
Maybe JP the Chinaman can fill us in more?
Well Nodders, come across to the SFL & you'll find out how much the league invests in new clubs![]()
I don't think we could raise enough cash to compete Fish....haha not touching this can of worms
I wasn't having a go at you guys and Rupo (and if all the talk is correct Werribee is likely to follow) as the move probably suits their circumstances better than the VAFA does. But, I don't see why the SFL would want to keep a club that wants to move to a comp who they see as a better fit for them.
Yes you guys are right, If the Dragons want to go let them go but I reckon for the eveness of the comp ie: 3 divisions by 10 it was wortha try to persuade them, anyway right at the moment they need to come up with all that Jamie P can muster because they need to find additional reasons to go to the VAFA at appeal. I reckon they should be honest and just say it is the drinking culture that disturbs them and let them travel the world in VAFA land and watch all the blokes in cars around the ground drinking instead of a more controlled version at SFL... anyway hot off the press is that the MPNFL objection to AFLV re: Carrum patterson lakes was rejected therefore CPLFC plays in 3rd div in 2013.
