I heard the same rumour about Cousins but more than likely just pub talk...why would Cousins want to play SFL for? Does he know Darren Hulme from his AFL playing days?
Linke will be a good acquistion back to the Clays. Where does Jason Ramsay and Adrian Burgiel come from? Is that the Burgiel who has played at Maffra before?
Sad news on Highett I hope for their sake that they can defiantly get a side on the park and make it competitive cause they are always a good side to come up against and would be sad to see them struggle for a team.

If he wants to plays AFL in 2009, I'm not sure that Clayton or the SFL for that matter would be a standard he'd be looking for. Plus he must have a bit of cash in the bank by now, or maybe not. Either way its a talking point.

Unfortnately the rumours with Highett are correct, limited numbers on the track and massive outs for season 2008.

Jason Meade, Troy Harris, Luke Harris, Matt Smith, Mathew Sheahan, Paul Murphy, John Bolding, Phil Smith, Kris Abaloz, Toby Loft, Dean Langford, with the futures of Matty Andrews, Singh brothers unsure.

I hope they are able to cover these losses! Hopefully Stephen Wright has the contacts to recruit new players.

Think you are right on the money there Lloydy7. You did fail to mention the biggest loss for the Highett Bulldogs in 08. If my mail is correct, I believe the hard man Stephen Dowden has also jumped ship, not sure how they will cope with that loss

preety sure that is the burgiel from maffra, and he can seriously play. He wanted the coaching job at my home town of Lakes Entrance but wanted a rediculous amount of coin plus a job, so didn't get it. I daren't say the clays will be paying top coin for him

If Benny is half serious about playing AFL again he wont be at Clayton, he was meant to be getting away from those influences, not going to a club where he will be surrounded by it.

Not sure, He had knee troubles late into the year, but would be a great asset to the Springvale Districts for 2008. Speaking about my new club, hopefully i can summent a spot for the big Anzac night clash against Clayton. Always enjoy playing them as they have been the toughest club I've played against in the SFL. Should be a classic. Especially Waata Wells facing his old premiership mates.

jason ramsay ex fitzroy and richmond player.. is playing at the clays because his good mates with hulme.. burgiel coming with ramsay as well.

myself in that list, that makes 16 guys who played all or most of the 18 games in the firsts last year.

Not too sure how they'll go, but one things for sure, it'll be a whole new line up.

You obviously can't read, as i said he IS a great footballer, one of the best when on song but club loyalty isn't one of he strong suits.

Looks like the Clays and Saints are improving their lists again, havent heard much from St Pauls which is normal but I'm sure that they will be right up there again.

Its a pity about Highett, hopefully they can get a few more blokes to training. What would be the chances that Dingley are asked to come up if Highett struggle with numbers in pre season??

Former Chelsea Heights/Port Colts/Port Melbourne/wherever the money is player John Lindsay has signed with you guessed it.....St Kilda City. Great footballer, but not exactly a great clubman. Port Colts are fuming. Looks like the Saints are already starting to cover the loss of Hassan.

Lindsay is a star but a different player to Hassan, the saints have lost quite a few by all reports and havent done any damage recruits wise. They might be on the slide after 1 year

heard the same rumor, apparently good mates with Casset and is now living in st.kilda, gees if City add him to the midfield that would make them stronger, on the other hand the talk is he is pretty loyal and will give mordi another year,maybe they havent delivered on the recruits and he wants to play finals

Heard from a reliable source that Steve Arvanitis is very close to signing at MPNFL club Tooradin for some very good scratch.

He is right into the greyhounds and has plenty running at Cranbourne each week. I think he has moved down there so that would make sense.
