Carrum reserves won by 71 points.

Carrum seniors were up at 3/4 time but ended up losing by a couple of points I think.

A lot of positive signs out at the den.

Lyndale beat Hawthorn Amateurs by 17 points yesterday and played Eastern Lions last Friday night in a 6 quarter game and matched them through the night. When both senior sides were out on the park I think we might of been up by 1 or 2 goals. Hard to say when there is no goal umpires or scoreboard.

Surrey Hills would give Chadstone a run for their money. Not sure of the names but last year there were a couple of teams at the bottom of Div 2 of WRFL that were losing to the 3rd bottom side by 30 goals.

Of the 72 teams in the VAFA Chaddy are ranked 72. The only team in all of suburban Melbourne that might not beat them is Sunshine North. Having said that I dip my lid to these blokes for their resilience and loyalty. Can’t be easy getting flogged week after week, year after year.

Don't get carried away by this result.

Carrum-Patterson Lakes way too far down on this ladder for my liking! Some of the experienced players they've recruited will be very good Div 3 players...having said that I still think Doveton and Sandown are just slightly ahead of them. I've got Doveton as 1, Sandown 2, CPL 3 and then the rest of your ladder I'm fairly happy with. Maybe swap Mt Waverley and Black Rock around. Watch for Endeavour Hills to continue improving.

new teams take time to gel. carrum won't be overnight success. for rockers - sticking with #4. being generous putting mount #5, can see dropping out of top 5 dis year (dandy/e hills?)

Heard Mt Waverley got a belting on the weekend from Panton Hill 25+ goals.
Can anybody confirm this? Did hear that wilkins and goughy didn't play.
Tips for round 1 people?
 
seen CPL lost by 6-7 goals against Hampton, were in the game but got blown out in the last! they looked ok for a first year side but cant see them competing against the likes of dovey eagles, sandown etc...

Couldn't tell you for sure who was missing from the side but I can assure you that Wilkin & Gough played and Mount were blown out the water early by Panton Hill. Just as a casual observor I would of said the margin was around 20 goals at half time.
 
CPL lost to Hampton by about 8 goals, similar to the Caulfield affair being a pretty close contest and opposition running away in the end.
Heavily undermanned CPL reserves went down by quite a bit to the 2012 grand finalists, 18 goals or so.
CPL Under 19s held there own against Hampton losing by a few goals in the end.
