St Paul's in a close one. 6 points. EB fresh legs to be less of a factor. The wet and windy conditions will mean less running. St Paul's to start better for not having the week off.

City to beat Cheltenham by 18 points. There bigger older bodies to handle conditions better. Their lack of fitness won't be exposed in the conditions.

Games could come down to who doesn't miss the most goals!

Two big games this weekend of SFL. I'm sure the crowd on saturday will be bigger than the games on the weekend. Put your tips in

Footballs great
2:00 PM Sat 10/Sep 2nd Semi Final Springvale Reserve
East Brighton x 19pts vs St Pauls This is going to be a top class game with the two best teams for 2011
2:00 PM Sun 11/Sep 1st Semi Final Springvale Reserve
St Kilda City x 20pts vs Cheltenham

Two very even games this weekend at springy hopefully the weather doesn't effect the games to much!
St Pauls to knock off east by 9 points (very close game that could go either way the winner will be decided at the toss with the winner to kick with the wind in the first)
Chelt to take down city by 4 points (chelt very impressive with there run on sunday the young legs to get them over the line)

Homer22
Vampire's by 5 goals
City by under 3 goals.
Good luck to everyone playing..

JustAnotherMembe
Vampires by 5 Goals
City by 7 Goals

Cousin Tiger
Doggies by 3 goals
City by 5 goals

Jetsons
Doggies by 9 points, in what could be a hard slog looking at the weather forecast.
City by 5 goals with too strong bodies in finals and possibly wet conditions also.
Should be a good weekend of matches. Good luck to all teams involved!!

The Koach
St Pauls 5pts
St Kilda 28pts

Batfink
In low scoring games due to weather
EB 14 pts
StK 24 pts

Inureface
E.b. 36 points in first gear
Saints 47 points and a lot of wounded bodies left in there wake

PoMaggys
EB 32 points
Cheltenham- 8 points

Gotcha1
EB by 15 pts with williamson back and dominating
Stk by 30 with Quinn and poyas being the difference

WhoDat
Tough to tip owing to weather may cause an upset
EB by 22 points
Chelt by 10 points

Not a great day for footy but the Vampires might be a bit too physical for the young Dogs. Pace from both sides pretty even so I reckon strength may prevail.
Vampires by 10 points in a low scoring slugfest
The Sunday game is an interesting one. Experience to prevail although the younger legs of the Rosellas may propel them into a Prelim. Saints by 28 points.
Agree with Forwardpress it could come down to who converts best in both games

Ahhhhh.......finals football and September. These are the days i remember so fondly. Wind, wind and more wind out at Springy Districts.

I dare say the team who takes a risk and gets the ball on the scoring side with the wind, and conversely works twice as hard against the wind will get the choccies today.

Good luck to all teams on the weekend.

Finals footy. It is what it is all about!!!!

hi fellas, looking at the goal kicking for st kilda city and noticed they have two high goal kickers, quinn and tilley. I don't get to watch the games so which one is the full forward and how do you rate both of them. thanks

How good are those Dingoes!!! Well done East Brighton, very good effort.

Go Chelt!!! I tipped City for the flag but they arent up to it, so lets hope that Chelt take another scalp! There would be nothing better than a club that nurtures their own to go deep into the finals.

Went and watched EB v stpauls and EB looked classes above. Williamson and Dilon will be back for GF. Unless the other sides have any stars to come back the GF will be very one sided .

LOL:), you are a fool aren’t you.He kicked two goals had a hand in 3 more and ran down Mcgarry and chucked him to the ground like a bag of spuds:eek: plus getting no help from the umpire all day. Also he played in a winning team East Brighton 11.14-80 def. St Pauls 6.9-45 and the Noble Park reject$ didn't. But look lets hope you get to have another go ,after you have a very very very hard game next week :D:D:D:D:D

and the tipster of the week is INUReFACE also player of the round :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Congrats to City. When Poyas, Bruno, Stinear and Bruin play at their very peak like they did today, they are the best team in it.

Well done to our blokes on a very good year. A long way from our best performance today, but its no disgrace to get beaten by a side who plays as well as City did. Bigger and better in 2012!

I wasn't behind the goals I was near the beer tent ( yes the VBs where nice and cold )and yes Gilbert did match it with him But to be named your best was a big call as he didn't do much himself
He kicked his goals one in the third and one in the last and plus as what I have already said earlier
I did give it to them a bit hard but nothing to bad and I'm sure there where a few of you yelling out things as well. I do get a bit sick of seeing Francis getting hang on too and not getting anything from the umpires

I did go a bit far on Saturday so point taken and lets hope you get another chance as I'm sure he would want that as well :D:D:D:D

Tips for this week Preliminary
2:00 PM Sun 18/Sep Springvale Reserve

St Pauls vs St Kilda City x7pts

St Pauls looked a bit slow on Saturday and the young colt Huntington looks like he can step up to fill the spot that Tilley has left
Will be a hard fought game with City hanging on in a close one :D:D:D

All we want is another crack at EB to make amends for the effort we put in on Saturday, however need to get over City first who when firing can be hard to stop.

The Gilbert brothers are pretty decent blokes, and i would have thought in a game where the backline was under immense pressure, Nick held his own against your own flesh and blood ;)

So we have this up and running early today LOL

Who else has 4 out of 4 in the tipping
Do city or stpauls have any players to come in this week
If Quinn dont play this week, doggies should win
Your in the know at EB FG, will Williamson and Dillon definately be back for the GF and how badly was Mahoney injured.

Williamson and Dillon will definitely be back for the GF and Williamson is my tip for the medal BOG he is ready to go
I was talking to him after the game and he is feeling good
It was very bad news about Toby he has had a great year,to see him go of early was very sad. But we have never had our best team on the park in any game this year.
Do you think Quinn will miss ??? That is a big out if he doesn't play
What has Quinn done? I heard Ambrose Quad ruptured. Any truth to that rumour?
