In 2017 the Southern Football League will have it's very own women's league it will kick off a lightning premiership this Saturday at the Twin Ovals beginning at 11am.

Below are the photos from the SFLW Lightning Carnival that took place over a week ago at Twin Ovals, the weekend was billed as a come and try weekend for girls that have never played before. It was not a bad day, South East Suns won all three of their games and were the standouts on the day, Hobart City and Cygnet didn't look too bad at times. Claremont were the only team not to win a game during the day. But credit to all the girls that got out and played during the day.
