This one may be a bit rough but heard a whisper about dayne beams and Narre,I believe he’s living down towards Pakenham

agree didn’t see goosey play much but Casset is another absolute star my m8 coached him at Doveton and said he was such hard work off the field but worth it to have him in the side he was so good
Casset is a knobhead most the time but your right on field he was far too good for local footy, when he was at doveton I watched him do some things during games and id just laugh he was that good, 100% would of played AFL if he wasn’t such a dickhead! He would be in top 3 local players that I’ve ever seen!

I think everyone can agree, gun footballer but average human being.

Did enjoy 2008 GF when he was at City and Peter Smith levelled him after he marked the ball on the lead.

it seems that a number of clubs have lost top line talent. 2026 recruiting will be very interesting. Some teams won't be able to cover their losses.

The Truth is that each club has two or three players that if they leave are irreplaceable.

The clubs that have gone after players for money, eventually can't pay any more and those types of players find bigger coin elsewhere. Those teams that cultivate a club through internal growth through their under 19s system have more chance to keep their players because they have an inert culture more than just paying "guns for fire" which is just a short-term remedy.

Murrumbeena seem to have kept their young talent. Good signs for their future as they continue to grow. A club on the rise. Michael, Scollo and Lagastes and Standish have all re-signed. For a little more cash.

Murrembeena are building something both on and off-field. The council rebuild has made their facilities as good as any in the SNFL.

Just need to retain a few more players for depth. Their 2s struggled for numbers as they had 19s doubling up most weeks and borrowing 3rds to double up as well. They can definitely compete in the 2s when health.

Yes, that's the problem in the area. Getting the numbers is difficult especially at reserves as there are too many teams in the Bentleigh/Murrumbeena/McKinnon/Ormond/Caulfield area. Most of the new residents don't have parents with an AFL background so numbers on the whole are dwindling as well.
