HP We’re in mpnfl 20 odd years ago and the incident with the 2s player at finals with a EM supporter got him a 8 week ban from playing and the incident on the bench was a personal dispute between to people the guy that king hit the Hampton park player on the bench had nothing to do with the football clubNot kicked out of mpnfl at all , spectator king hit a player hardly the clubs fault. Very strong club in late 90s won back-to-back MPNFL D2 flags (Northern Div) and then were competitive in D1 for a few seasons. This was when the MPNFL was at its peak as a league. Had some very good players- Cassett, Owen, Keogh, Holden, Hussey, McKay, O’Brien x 2, Thomas, Rout etcHP We’re in mpnfl 20 odd years ago and the incident with the 2s player at finals with a EM supporter got him a 8 week ban from playing and the incident on the bench was a personal dispute between to people the guy that king hit the Hampton park player on the bench had nothing to do with the football club
Ye spot on I actually think they made the preliminary final in the top division not sure what they called it then I see you mentioned Thomas he was the one Doveton rang and asked him to come play in the 2s this yearVery strong club in late 90s won back-to-back MPNFL D2 flags (Northern Div) and then were competitive in D1 for a few seasons. MPNFL Premier Division it was called. HP lost to Cranbourne in 1st Semi, but realistically only 2 horse race that year. Edi Asp won GF by 99pts against Mornington. They were one of the best local footy teams going around in any one season. Was 2000 and they lost only 1 game (similar to Essendon) in that yearYe spot on I actually think they made the preliminary final in the top division not sure what they called it then I see you mentioned Thomas he was the one Doveton rang and asked him to come play in the 2s this year
Not sure about that. On the whole I think majority would endorse the induction of the various amounts of clubs over the past decade. Growth is incredibly important for any competition, since 2013-14 the comp has gradually improved. Late 90s is the best I’ve seen the competition but 2025 across both Division 1 and 2 is really on the climb.HP should be in another league
"Em supporter got him 8 weeks"? Since when was it not allowed to give feedback over the fence? Re the bench incident, i understand its not the club, but its the culture you allow...HP We’re in mpnfl 20 odd years ago and the incident with the 2s player at finals with a EM supporter got him a 8 week ban from playing and the incident on the bench was a personal dispute between to people the guy that king hit the Hampton park player on the bench had nothing to do with the football club
What im saying is he got 8 weeks for the incident for what he did and as for the bench incident nothing to do with culture it was something completely unrelated to the football club the guy who king hit the player heard he was playing at hp and turned up there and king hit the player the club did the right thing and rang police immediately to handle it the player wanted to keep playing there but he was told he can’t because they can not have anything like that at the club so he went to Hallam"Em supporter got him 8 weeks"? How do you know he's a good clubman , if hr was he'd still be at Smorgon ovalCharlie was a very good player for AJAX and a great clubman. Thats a fantastic pick up.
He was there almost 10 years Bedders and the game at that level has passed him by.How do you know he's a good clubman , if hr was he'd still be at Smorgon oval
Charlie Hamilton signed on at the zoo as per socials. Very good pick from Ajax in the VAFA, previous senior B&F winner, will certainly be a handful for the opposition this year.
I’ve heard the same, apparently AFL Vic looks into any team that makes a grand final and Murrumbeena are clean but Malvern are not. Wonder what they’ll get fined? Do salary caps even work?Rumour is that East Malvern has been caught over the salary cap
