Sorry to disappoint you , I’ve watched both standards first hand as far back as 5 days ago and can tell you Prem C is below SFNL 1, Parkdale on the big improve and probably play Division 1 but at the lower end, Beaumaris in no man lands and play a very underwhelming brand and a style that would not get them far outside of Prem C.Beaumaris would beat Murrumbeena for sure.
Parkdale Vultures would beat Bentleigh.
VAFA Prem C is about SNFL Div 1 level.
I guess we may never know.Sorry to disappoint you , I’ve watched both standards first hand as far back as 5 days ago and can tell you Prem C is below SFNL 1, Parkdale on the big improve and probably play Division 1 but at the lower end, Beaumaris in no man lands and play a very underwhelming brand and a style that would not get them far outside of Prem C.

I watched two games of SNFL Div 1 last weekend and it was a very ordinary standard of keepings off with very little completions for inside 50s. Yes, it was wet but the ball was on the ground most of the time and other than one or two top line players, most of the others are just plodders.Sorry to disappoint you , I’ve watched both standards first hand as far back as 5 days ago and can tell you Prem C is below SFNL 1, Parkdale on the big improve and probably play Division 1 but at the lower end, Beaumaris in no man lands and play a very underwhelming brand and a style that would not get them far outside of Prem C.
The top teams in the VAFA offer players jobs. But lower than Prem B, you are only there to play for free with mates. (For the love of the game).I guess we may never know.
It depends on (A)how much Southern wants to get bigger by getting clubs from the VAFA,Other Competitions or Start up clubs EG:Clyde to join or (B)do the above mentioned clubs want to go to Southern.
Didn't you watch Ormond last week . Rhys Kennedy is now a good player , that how little you know , he's been 2nd to his brother 2 years ago and 2nd again last year in a finals side and is also on Coburgs list !I watched two games of SNFL Div 1 last weekend and it was a very ordinary standard of keepings off with very little completions for inside 50s. The comparison is Brandon O'Toole who moved from St Bedes to St Pauls, Brandon kicked 36 goals for St Bedes in 2023 in VAFA and 48 goals for St Pauls in 2024 in SNFL.
Rhys Kennedy, who is Lukes's brother was playing lowly Div 1 in VAFA for Ormond last year and is now a good player for St Pauls in the SNFL.
Mitch Brown who now plays for Parkdale and previously played for Mordialloc in Div 1 SNFL. Mitch Brown kicked 10 for Mordialloc when he played SNFL against the top teams and has been kept to reasonable numbers of goals in Prem C.
Remember Bedders, and I know you are having memory problems so I will give you a pass, there were SNFL games last week on Anzac Day which was the Friday. Breathe deeply mate, you'll get there.Didn't you watch Ormond last week . Get to know your shit as you have NFI
FWIW I have been involved both. VAFA Premier is exceptional, and B grade is very good, but it does fall away after that. SFL is similar as bottom half of Div 2 and beyond is pretty ordinary. Very difficult to make comparisons between competitions but from years of watching both I would say the very best SFL Div 1 sides would currently be competitive in the mid-tier of B grade. Beyond that they are C grade standard. Previous comment about Beaumaris is correct. They have fallen off a cliff in recent years and going backwards as a senior club. Massive junior program but something not right and players have left in droves in the last 2-3 years. I think they would be a good fit for SFL but I understand they have no interest in doing so.I watched two games of SNFL Div 1 last weekend and it was a very ordinary standard of keepings off with very little completions for inside 50s. Has aged wellKeysborough & Doveton, not sure what to make of their results, both played the best teams in the division.
As everyone has been saying, Don’t see any club jumping up and surprising East Malvern & Hampton Park. 5 clubs playing for the last 2 sympathy finals spots.
Quite unexpected indeed, but also a very welcome change. It's not often I post on here, instead usually reading however I made it to the Highett V EM match today to watch a workmate of mine who's been recruited by highett and is already making an impact. Arm wrestle of a match between both clubs with the lead changing multiple times and a tricky swirling wind. Thought EM was a bit more cleaner with the ball but Highett kept up the pressure. Melee at half time with a spectator jumping the fence from the outer to get involved.
Yes m8 hp have not played well there disposal of the ball has been terrible is one thing probably only having one key forward atm Scott has been great but the only one and Hawkins been great in The ruck but are getting beaten at stoppages the last few weeks with quick players hp have stlll got a few key players missing but endeavour hills played well and moved the ball really well out of the backline and in the midfield to give there forwards great opportunities to get out on the lead and mark basically they have been beaten buy sides with better disposal I did mention even against Caulfield hp disposal was average and it’s costing them ATMHas aged well
Any H.P. or E.M. supporters that can give an insight as to last 2 weeks efforts?

I'm more interested in what happened afterwards. One gentleman thought it right to walk through the Highett players walking off & give his 2 cents to players & the umpire, after all was said and done.Wow pretty full-on in the game between Highett and East Malvern. Watch the video just before halftime and then massive mallee![]()

Doveton are in all sorts! Good to see!!![]()
How the mighty have fallen.Doveton are in all sorts! Good to see!!![]()
Doves giving the coaching job to stapleton is what really got them in proper shit, a lot of people around the club are pissed at how much say 1-2 families have in the club, they have pretty much always been just as good as Narre cranny Berwick beacybut now those 4 clubs would beat them by 25+ goals, a rubbish 2nd division club is what they are now, when a local club gets a new coach they have to sign someone from outside the club cause then it brings in new players and sponsorship just like Hampton park have done this year! I got a lot of mates at the doves but heck I’d love to see them in Div 3 next year! How the mighty have fallen.
What’s happened that us readers are unaware of ? Coach Stapleton family stepped down from any off field formal position a month or 2 ago but they seemed to be going ok result wise considering their lack of talent
