Ashwood fought till the end but CPL was too good. Ashwood had too many clangers and just bombed the ball into the forward 50. The CPL skipper played well and also a couple of their new recruits.

As umpires are walking off at half-time you can see on the video the Lyndhurst coach and runner having a go at the umpires.

What rubbish umpiring was quite good.
City I heard had 4 out.
Looked fit, quick and certainly will test most.
City looked great, few patchy areas, probably could’ve been a bit more just couldn’t kick away in the end. Not sure what old old mate is on about the umpiring, thought was quite good overall.

CPL won comfortably, thought that would be the case. Think them and City will be up there. South probably missing a few of their better players, would expect them to bounce back pretty strongly. Skye will be a good hit out for them next week to see where they’re at.

Umpire escort doing a great job there. Obviously put the bib on just to tick a box inn the umpires match report

obviously wasn't the correct decision, with the help of pausing the replay, but its when the umpire hears the siren..

But no one will talk about the Lyndhurst player deep in the back pocket kicking across goal well into red time

30 scoring shots to 9… that’s not on the umpires. They weren’t great but not necessarily to one side or another.
South forward giggsy pretty much held all day, saw at least 7 or 8 no calls on him would’ve ended up shots on goal probably slots 5 at least. Turns the game around. Anyway as I said, south missing a few big names, next week will beat Skye comfortably and get the wheels rolling

Would write skye off just yet

Agree with all. Heard South have signed a big name (former AFL) and still haven’t announced it yet. Probably won’t know till S

Bloke from work’s brother playing there. All been hush hush. And surely not talking about St Kilda City? They’ll be in Div 4 before the season’s even finished.
well...this aged like milk...south suck bro

How’d they go against Berwick? (Not in a smart ass way. Saw the score, just want to see how they held up.)

Berwick probably one of the teams I’m not too familiar with, given coming from Outer East league.

Hopefully Skye can bounce back from last season, should be more competitive in Div 3 (especially with some new recruits). But from last year, City would be the stronger of the two coming down.

Yeah of course. They have a few new players tried in different positions and a couple in the 2s that will play 1s.
Also a recruit that left that maybe coming back. A Ruckman apparently.

If City had of kicked straight could of been ugly. Long way to go but a interesting season ahead.
