Did anyone watch south vs ashwood yesterday ?? What are your thoughts

Crackin game , crackin atmosphere.
Ashwood had chances to win it in the last qtr against the wind and couldn’t finish it off. Hats off to Sth morn for sticking fat. Both teams impressive .

What a game between Berwick Springs and St Kilda City!!!

St Kilda City leading all the way through the game until the last 2 minutes of the game. Berwick Springs nearly shot themselves in the foot by being so inaccurate. St Kilda City playing only with 3 on the bench after one of their players injured his ankle in the first quarter.

Insane game! We were behind the goals and thought it was done until Ty Ellison kicked that snap and literally climbed the fence in joy! Photos from that game are gonna look unreal!

How are you finding the new league? I know you are a young club on the rise so will be looking forward to seeing you progress through the divisions.

How are you finding the new league? I know you are a young club on the rise so will be looking forward to seeing you progress through the divisions.

It’s definitely different! There was a lot of question marks going into the season, especially as over the last few years we’ve become really close with the netballers and women’s footy players and all playing at the one ground almost every week. I think we’ve adapted really well, and the clubs have been really welcoming so far! They all seem like great people off the field and on the field, this has been the most competitive and even we’ve been across all 8 teams, with us getting 7/8 wins for the first time in our history!

I’m keen to see us develop and hopefully develop a strong footnote in the community and league in the Southern, especially now that we can start keeping juniors who previously we might have lost due to the travel in outer east. It also helps that most of the clubs are relatively close as well, so doesn’t feel like as much as a big day as it would’ve. I genuinely think the move was a good decision looking back, allows to compete and hopefully rise up the ladder.

That’s great to hear, especially after such a close game too. Kept an eye on the score and was surprised to see the end result. Great work by Berwick to kick back in the end!
