Great exciting close game between CPL vs South Mornington. Low-scoring first half, but then in the second half, both teams upped the tempo and started to kick goals, but in the end, South Mornington wanted it more. Credit to both teams and the umpires game was played in good spirit.

Think the addition of Milne for Lyndhurst helped heaps for them to beat Black Rock. Makes for a very even comp, especially with CPL losing to South Mornington. hope that we go alright next few weeks. We’re at home the next two which is an advantage but still need to play our best to stay ahead. Good to get the win against Ashwood, especially after resting a few players who were sore.

Edit: put the wrong info for some games and mixed it all up. Fixed it up now.

Very interesting finish in the game between Sky vs Hampton. Hampton looked to be home until the last few seconds of the game, Sky player marks the ball, but he plays on and kicks a goal right on the siren or just before the siren in the footage, it's unclear

Game isnt over til the umpire blows the whistle signaling the end. Pretty clear if the ball was kicked before then its a goal.

Ashwood with a great IN this week Connor Wilson from St Pauls Div 1. Had played some decent football including a run of senior games in 2024.

Will dominate as a key back or forward.

Yes that is also true but the game isnt over until the umpire brings the game to an end with his whistle. He hears the siren then blows his whistle. game isnt stopped until after he has done that.

The game (or quarter) ends when the umpire hears the siren, end of. Whatever happens after that doesn't count.

I wonder what would happen if someone belted a bloke after the siren sounded? Certainly you can still get reported, but the umpire can't pay a free.

Im glad i dont umpire because its a tough one to call. The rules as i know them are that the play ends when any umpire including emergency first hears the whistle, it then states they signal the game has come to an end by blowing their whistle.

Some interesting results in this round but I reckon the most impressive was Heatherton knocking over Berwick Springs quite convincingly away. They have taken 2 good scalps the last couple of weeks…..maybe a team to watch! CPL trotting along nicely.
