it come from the ground on Saturday a Frankston player told a Dandenong player they’re applying for the MPNFL and apparently have the funds to compete for players...

They would get slaughtered. That area is already awash with clubs and if they stay in the SFNL they can at least offer a point of difference. They could never compete financially with YCW, Bombers, Pines etc. Crazy if true. Maybe try and establish yourself as a senior club and move up the grades before checking out to join a stronger comp.

They’d be playing Crib Point and Pearcedale, not the top end. Still a level above them but not as tough.

Agree that area is well represented with clubs. Seemed a strange decision to start a third Frankston club.
The population out there hasn’t grown in years.

They’ve got over fifteen junior teams which puts them at a considerable advantage over some other clubs. Things can change pretty quickly.

Narre in too much debt, paying off new rooms to realistically think about EFL, in fact the Prez said no way , it would send Club broke just to c9mpete in 1st div y with salary cap. Supporters may want out, but committee understand the short and long term viability. If Frankston Dolphins believe they can recruit better in MPNFL then good luck to them.some also believe Sth Mornington can become competitive inMPNFL for the same reason. Probably not in my life time.

These will however be the clubs that the MPNFL will have to target if they want the three divisions.

The Cranbourne example showed that clubs will be pretty hostile to those from further away and who may pose a threat to the top clubs.

They’ll need 26 clubs minimum (10/8/8) you’d think, so at least 4 more. Reckon they’d have to be looking at South Mornington, Frankston Dolphins, Cerberus etc.

Cerberus, no way, their team changes with the winds, only navy people allowed to play and most are based at the base for one year or less due to the fact it is a training base. Most of their 2nds players have never picked up a footy before this year. Skye Frankston Dolphins Cpl and Sth Mornington would be their targets.

Chelsea Heights also I reckon

Bit of it all really

But it starts from the top when their president is hurling abuse from the coaches box, along with 15 other non match day officials on their bench.
You’ll never believe it but even one of their supporters can be seen running onto the field in the second quarter...during the game hahahahaha laughable at the culture really

Pretty clear from this where the issue was....

Funny that when dandy played at Frankston earlier in the season, number 33 coward punched and spat on one of their players, where were you flogs when that happened?

Watch the vision mate from the weekend, no hardcore evidence of any of it occurring, especially the eye gouge, bloke gets back up and plays the game out doesn’t even touch his eyes to say he was eye gouged. The strike, the guy plays and gets in their bests even though he was “missing a tooth”. Dolphins are an absolute joke of a club. So much so after the 4th hearing where the bloke got off the president said to the dandy people “right decision”, after they were the ones to request video footage of it. Waste of time, waste of a club. Hope the yarras win the flag and Frankston leave to go to the mpnfl.

GD. The league watched the vision and laid charges which 3/4 were upheld by the independent tribunal....what more do you want?

No doubt it went both ways, but doesn’t paint a pretty picture for your club when you complain about the opposition and end up having 3 of your own players charged for stomping and eye gouging/facial contact?

Hallam and Moorabbin just making up the numbers regardless

Only as good as the team that’s in front of you doucha,
Hallam may make up the 4th spot but finals are a different ball game 👌🏻 Anything can happen,Cerberus proved it last year

With the home and a way season finished and Alex Wilson (cpl) taking home the golden boot. Anyone have an idea on who will win leaugue bnf? Or even team bnf’s? Coach of south Yarra Scott will be very close for mine
