Its Important to have those bonds at your footy club, apparently it waa a significant factor in Jack Martin choosing Carlton over The Dogs.
Also for clarification, do you pronounce his name 'Shy' or 'Shay' ? Heard commentators do both and its confusing.

It was unusual for the eagles to come out of no where and make an offer to Shai Bolton which was revealed on 1st September

Richmond played west coast on 18th August and the rioli episode with the drug testing happened on the 20th August , West Coast must have been told by either Rioli or ASADA what had happened and they knew that Willi will be gone so have gone and decided to find his replacement and offer Shai Bolton a contract before he signs with richmond.

To be honest I didnt know about him a lot until he had that good game vs Freo in Perth.
Seems like his 2017 and 2018 seasons were developing years. Played most of those games in the Ressies. General opinion of richmond fans on this thread about bolton that it Seems he is a talented bloke but needed to build up the body for endurance to run out the full 4 quarters.

From the 2016 draft. 1st deal was a 2 year deal until 2018. then signed another year until 2019. Now is contracted until 2021. That means that 2021 will be his 5th season.
Next contract will be until 2024 that will be his 8th year, a free agency year

Still has alot to work on with his fitness but looks an amazing talent and Richmond have a beauty with this kid, 1 of the most talented footballers at the club according to Dusty which is saying a bit.

he has increased his value since the middle of the season. He has had a very good run of 8-10 games of good footy.
