hes kinda been a bit of the tagger role while baker is out. had the tough assignment on heath shaw against collingwood but yeah hes been much better than last year

Don't recall many injuries to be honest. Did bounce in and out of the 1s, but was generally due to form or match ups. He was pretty durable :thumbsu:

He had that shocking eye injury when he tried to smother a Ben Graham monster kick and smothered it with his head. Missed a few months if I can recall.

One of our smartest players, always makes a good decision unlike some other saints.

Birss you old dog, keep delivering the goods.

That's right Perch... copped a detached retina from that. I still remember the replay of the aftermath... never seen a bloke more distressed and hurting... and Birssy is a pretty tough sort of fella, so not a good time for him. That was the same game that Chris Grant did his ACL... Round One, 2003 against the Cats.

Good luck to Birss. Most Doggie supporters would undoubtedly wish him well and follow his fortunes, similar to what the Geelong fans are doing with Tim Callan who now plays for us. Good honest players who can't quite crack it with their original clubs. Nice goal yesterday and I hope he plays well for the remainder of the season and beyond for the Sainters.
