Shane Edward's strength

Edwards is generally a good kick without being a great one. Sometimes pulls out some spearing deliveries into forward line but also misses targets a bit when running too quick or moreso suddenly realising he is in trouble and panicking a little. But that can be fixed, naturally gifted footballer who will excel and become a Dale Thomas type or a better version of Scotty Bamford for those who remember him.

A lot of people forget that these are still kids, Edwards and Tambling are doing really well for their age.

With further development will have one of the best engines in league footy. Love this kid. His biggest strength (and current weakness) is his ability and willingness to get to every contest, he, more than any other player on our list will encompass the "gut running" we so desperately need to develop if we are to ever become a good side. The problem atm is he is often so knackered he is sloppy with his disposal at times. Once he learns when he should go and when he should wait for the next one he will become robert Harvey-esque in his ability to get to more contests than mere mortals.

The kid could always be a dead ringer for the 'Scarecrow' from the Wizard of Oz.

On a serious note, I hope the kid blossoms. But I am struggling to see what the RFC sees in him.

Hmmm. Well his rare ability to already be able to run up and down the ground all game and make it to more contests than most players. His endurance will be amongst the elite in the comp, no doubt. His reading of the play, evasiveness, ball handling are all already evident. Open your eyes and you might see this as well. Kicking is still a worry; is ok when he has time, it comes off well but so far on the run and under pressure his kicks have been pretty average to say the least. He will improve but might be a bit of a weakness of his. He will be a gem.

GO TIGES!!!

And thats the point here, if they are showing continued improvement whats the problem here?

Spot on mate. Its the Richmond way. Most supporters are so starved of success that we are now expecting these kids to be guns within 25 games or delisted.
If our core group was firing, the forms of the youngsters would not be an issue.
If they are still up and down after 75-100 games then we have a right to whinge.

He's a good kid, you'll see. Got good pace and amazing tackler for his size, very high tackle count and has excellent 2nd and 3rd efforts. Skinny as hell but with some gym work he will really improve. He does pretty darned well for his size, very Dale Thomas type of player but quicker, perhaps tho lacks the true brains with decision making and can often get himself caught, despite his pace.

Can see him becoming a textbook hard running quick wingman who slots a few goals a game, def going to be a keeper.
Pretty good comparison with Thomas. Unfortunately his kicking seems comparable to Thomas, as well. :o Plenty to Like about the kid though.
