Think back to February of 2000. And i don't think 1 person in Australia could honestly say that Shane Woewodin would win the Brownlow Medal in 2000.

Congratulations Shane, and soak up the night. Think of all the great players who have not been privileged enough to win the medal - Barassi, Whitten, Farmer etc,. Because you are now immortilized in Football History.

Well Done Shane! The name must be good luck for recent Brownlows! Best of luck for the Dees in the GF too.

Fingers crossed you'll come home and play for the Eagles to finish off your career

Well, no one would have predicted that Essendon would go through the season with only 1 loss either. The year 2000 has been a surprising but fast year.It feels as if the season has absolutely blitzed past. Anyone else feel like that??

Yeah it has gone by in a blur! I remember very well the first game of the year a bunch of us went round my friends house and all watched in absolute glee and bewilderment the Eagles stomp the reigning champs by 50 points. We all got wrecked and went out clubbing hehe pity there was only 6 more nights like that one
