No way should he go. I will protest if he gets delisted. I know nobody here agrees, but if anyone is with me, please say so.

He might be lacking skills of a brownlow year, but we say i say it over and over again. People would think he was a good player if he never won that ********ing medal. Last year he was clearly our second best player. He comitted to the ball, tackled, and won the ball. This year he has been off soughts, but still has comitted recently and tackled when able to. Speed is what he lacks, but atleast he has the determination.

I recon we should keep him. Just cos he has won a Brownlow, that doesnt mean he's gunna keep that form for the rest of his career. His best is far better than others best form for us.

Oh, he's far from the worst player on the list, but he's slow, old, getting worse as a footballer, unaccountable, and only puts his head over the ball when he wants to - which is getting less and less.

Not worth persevering with because he won't be there when we're having our next crack. Even if it's next year as I hoped for in anohter thread, he couldn't possibly be in the best 22 for us in a successful era as he slows play down far too much when he gets it.

It's a tough one. Woey is capable of playing very good footy at his best, but at his worse he is a shocker. I'd keep him on for another 2 years, and hopefully he can teach the younger blokes a couple of things, while playing good footy himself.

2 years?!?!?!

FMG. Fans accepting this kind of mediocrity, no wonder we're screwed. No accountability if everyone's happy!

Hopefully we can get a 3rd rounder for him , what sort of protest are you planning LF50?
Well, I spoke to Eddie earlier today and he said he would be glad to see me coaching the team, but it isn't entirely up to him on where Mick stands. Eddie said he would love to keep Shane as a helping hand on the experience side of things and if Mick wants to get rid of him, then he would give me the job as coach. So no real protest myself, but i am sure a protest would occur when an 18 year old gets the coaching job :)

Nah...i just wouldn't stop bitching about it when a topic on MM comes up in speech or big footy. :D

hahaha... my thoughts exactly. There is simply no space for him on our list if we are to move forward.

If he were to accept a contract that is more indicative of his current output as opposed to his long forgotten best, then I say retain him.
For us to remain competitive whilst we develop our younger players, players like Woey need to be playing.
I would like to see the day that players like Woey, O'Bree, Davis, Lonie, Lockyer etc are forced out due to better performing youngsters.
The way things are looking, that may take a while.

I agree we should keep him.

Even more if we keep Malthouse.

Woewodin is worth retaining on a 1 yr 150-200k contract. He's far from our worst player and can fill a useful role if we get him cheap enough.
