I think most Williamstown watchers agree that he has talent, but what position would he play in an AFL team? He doesn't seem to be a genuine KPP, not pacy enough for a wing. Perhaps he can play as a third tall forward or back? Problem is, O'Brien, Maxwell, and maybe our other rookie Toovey, can all play that medium-sized-defender role. Up forward we've got Tarrant, Rocca, C3, and Rusling. Again, where does Cox fit in (so to speak)?

That said, I hope we retain him because on the couple of occasions I saw him he did some genuinely classy things that made me sit up and think: 'here's a player'.

Has that talent that both have mentioned so far, but has the ability to play as a medium forward with great run and jump, and terrific hands, in which I can ensure you is a similar type to Russell Robertson (not overating the kid, but just saying that is a similarity). He only played forward mostly for the Williamstown reserves.

In the seniors he showed dash as a rebound footballer who could control a bouncing ball and take some clever marks. He is a good list player I think, as he is capable of playing at both ends of the ground, as well as having that x-factor about him at the same time.

yeah i love this bloke.. very creative with his hands liek murray said. i really hope he makes it. should get another year on the rookie list, hopefully can rise another level next year.

Played in a NAB Challenge match vs Roos and the intra-club match only I think.

He has the perfect build for a modern footballer. Definite prospect.

Could be a Franklin/Goodes type running midfielder.

I doubt any rookie would be talking up their chances too much.

Has a bit to work with, but if we delist him, I wouldn't be stunned.

he also played the pre-season cup game against Freo at subiaco along with Thomas,iles and Stanley. dont think he troubled the stats man though...?

Oh yeah, he did too. Did a Danny Roach, (1 tackle), however he had plenty of one percenters, including setting up two goals, one was the tackle, the other a tap along the ground in the goalsquare (IIRC)
