Jezza is team first, although competitive he couldn't give a rats. I said at the time they started the BS it's media drivel and too soon. He's got the Coleman, and apart from the feather in the cap, I wonder what they get financially for kicking 100?
Maybe incentive payments?
BTW: He got smashed in the head on Sunday, and Heeney should be cited for rough play as well. Where's those reports if the AFL are that soft?
These sorts of shepherds/blocks happen more than 100 times a game - so frequent in fact that if you were looking for it you could actually find another by Blicavs on Cunningham (as Miers handballs) in the same 10 second clip. [not meaning to get Blitz in trouble of course- just saying that it makes zero sense to single out Neale]

No comparison between the Neale and Wines incidents.

Neale would stand a very good chance of getting off on appeal given it must have been line ball on the grading being medium. The fact they handed down one week suggests to me that it was borderline. Must have been very close to a fine for careless / low impact.

Let's see what the club does, but Geelong tend not to poke the bear on this stuff and roll over and accept it. Steve Hocking would be well placed to advise on this one - as would Chris Scott if he felt inclined to call Brad who is not long out of AFL House.
For Neale’s sake the Club needs to appeal just to let him know how much the Club values him.

What is this saying? If you are a bigger player you are not allowed to shepherd/block for a teammate? Neale actually bent his knees to make himself smaller, what else could he have done? Is he supposed to just let an apposition player tackle or bump his teammate. Other than make a decision not to play a team game and support his teammate as a larger player what is he supposed to do?

Calling that medium impact is the most ridiculous decision I've seen by the MRO in a while, but I get why the club won't challenge it. If we were playing a more important game, then maybe they would have gone to all the expense of challenging it. But given we're playing a bottom team, he might as well just sit it out. Will they give a debut to Polikinghorne? That would be cool.

Not if we're looking at finals insurance
Edwards had been playing second fiddle to Conway in the ruck in the 2's. Got his first full gig on the weekend (with Conway again injured) and had a very impressive game.
Just like the last game of 2023 when we threw Conway in for his first game, I think this wouldn't be a bad game to put Edwards in there..
Neale out leaves us short in the forward line. Could always rotate Blitz, Stanley and Edwards through ruck/forward.. Or just leave Blitz forward and just allow Edwards to give Stanley a chop out in the ruck..
Will it happen? Highly doubtful, but I would like to see it.

Translation: we are happy to give an important player a week off and give Ollie Henry a game.
