Mentioned in the paper that we are keen on shannon watt an d,ark nicoski..i would rater go after watt as he is tall and quick and could play on the "richo", buddy, lucas, tredrea, mooney types.....it would relese t-bird and thenholihan could go to a half forwrd Flank..i would also rather watt because nikoski is similar to jamison thornton and saddington.....i would give up a bentick or a hartlett and russell for watty..he also out of contract..ANY THOUGHTS?

Watt is a better player than Saddington or Bannister, at least he can play on a forward in a defensive role.

But I wouldn't be giving up the world for him.

Nicoski might be a good get.

Would not touch Watt in a million years. He's slower than my grandma. No thankyou.

Even if we WERE interested in these players we're highly unlikely we'd get them due to the fact that the Judd negotiations will take up the majority of Carlton's trade week.

Because he isn't a good player.

This year his performances look much better because of the team he was in.

Before this year, if this was being discussed, none of us would consider going anywhere near him.

Is not the answer to our problems. If the Roos would give him up for a 5th rounder, then I may consider it. Otherwise, I would much rather stck with our guys and put a bit of faith in them, maybe draft another KP defender.

Josh Gibson played on Buddy in the Elimination final and beat him.

Watt is VERY slow. Family friends of mine are Roos supporters and constantly bag his speed.

He's not the solution to our problems. I hate Saddington and i still prefer him over Watt.

Next.

he is a shit player and will add nothing to the team.
he is slow and crap, and didn't have a good year.
jesse smith and pratt are good, but watt isn't.

They have no idea then. He isn't the most gifted player in the world but speed is one of his strengths.

The HUN have no idea anyway; they've just picked out random names that are out of contract and claimed clubs are interested in them.

Yep. If Watt has anything going for him its his speed.

I'd be surprised if Watt does come to Carlton given what Fevola said about him a few years back.
