Last night on the way to the supermarket at about 7pm I went to get out of my car & felt a short but subtle twang in my left hip joint. This has happened maybe 3 times before & I knew exactly what it was when it happened.

It takes a few hours & then gets extremely uncomfortable & painful - to the point where I can hardly wallk/get into the shower. Its hard to describe but feels like a pinched nerve (something rubbing or rolling over the joint) or a muscle spasm. When still the pain is slight & dull but when I turn my foot/leg inwards or outwards the pain is sharp, acute & extruciating.

Usually in a few days (1-3) it is back to normal & fine like nothing has happened... I'm at a loss as to what it is.. last time it occured was about 2 years ago.

Anyone have any ideas or had this before?
