He's not tagged here much either but he just runs to the wrong spots ...he's also not prepared to run to not get the ball...in other words gut busting running defensively or offensively

I would give him time though ......in WAFL :eek:......serious if Ross Lyon was coaching he wouldn't be in the team, you either work your butt off or you don't play

I can forgive skill errors as they are happen to anyone ...but he's simply not working harder enough or carrying an injury we don't know about which totally plausible

I just don't think he wants to be here..yea for the money maybe but not for the club. I thought he was gonna be an Eagle but he's not.

Get rid of this potato! Terrible money. Trade him to Sydney for a a case of coke - where he can spend the remainder of his day snuggling with his Buddy, buddy.

What did you guys think he was going to be? C.Judd 2.0? He should be the 4th-5th tier onballer for a contender, not the alpha male!
 
I never wanted him to begin with. I was initially furious with that trade when it happened, considering I thought D.Pearce would improve our team so much more and that we should be chasing HIM instead.

Now he's been here 2 seasons, I'm not exactly surprised by his output. He's a skilled player, just weak as piss sometimes.

He very nearly has moments of brilliance but a lot of the time it doesn't work out and he looks woeful for it.

Still best 22, just needs to work on his attitude and continuous effort.

I expect that he plays for the jumper and his team mate next to him.

Also to show some respect to the club, by working hard and giving it his all.

Well you have our awesome club recruiters to blame that on. But I think he was looked at as more than depth. IIRC Worsfold was touting him as the fast talented midfielder we needed at the time.

Hardly a depth recruit at all.
 
Feel like Wellngham is getting a bit of the scapegoat treatment here.

Pretty much his first real year in the team and he's not alone in the midfielders stinking it up stakes.
 
I would be getting rid of Masten and Selwood before wellingham, agree with an ealier post that he has just been taken down to our level.
But while this blind belief our club has that all of a sudden Natanui, Selwood, Masten, Gaff will become A Grade players is there then expect more of the same in coming seasons.
I cannot see any good out look from this current list at all.
Outside Hurn and Mckenzie and possibly Darling who is hopelessly out of form there is not another player on our list that is an A grade AFL footballer. We have a horrible list.

I think the sole blame lies with Wellingham.

The club saw him for what he was at the time, and hasn't performed to that standard - barring pretty much just the Gold Coast game - since he got here.

I agree that Masten and Selwood are worse than the Ham, but wouldn't advocate to get rid of all three.

The only other A grader I think we have is possibly Le Cras, but other than that I'd mostly agree with your analysis

Take a close look at our stopages,( watch how Sydney set up, its magic to watch) we never have a "backdoor player" ready for the quick release to the overlap running past , we are all looking forward of the play , all on top of each other, small ineffective handballs to someone whos one meter away under pressure , Wellingham is the king of this cheap possie.
I dont know how hes convinced our club hes worth $450,000 , but hey if someones dumb enough to hand you that money for been an average player good luck to you.

I think we have now looked at daling and Lecras as midfielders and it has not worked out. They are forwards and that is that.
