I think we have now looked at daling and Lecras as midfielders and it has not worked out. They are forwards and that is that.
I wish they had worked that out at the beginning of the season. If you're trying them in the midfield then deep down, I think you are admitting the midfield needs work. Although LeCras does OK through the midfield.

His second efforts are non-existent and doesn't go hard at the ball or the contest

De-list when his contract is up and move one.
Why do we see it and the coaches not? If they do, why the **** are they gifting him games?

I'd rather Paddy the butcherer out there in his place until Wellingspud can start earning what he's being paid.

Swannies our midfield does not need work, it needs a total replacement.
Of course they were tried there because of that. I think Lecca has been ok there and I have been one of those wanting him in there.
But now I think I would rather Lecras as an A grade small forward than a B grade midfielder.

I never wanted him to begin with. I was initially furious with that trade when it happened, considering I thought D.Pearce would improve our team so much more and that we should be chasing HIM instead.

Now he's been here 2 seasons, I'm not exactly surprised by his output. He's a skilled player, just weak as piss sometimes.

He very nearly has moments of brilliance but a lot of the time it doesn't work out and he looks woeful for it.

Still best 22, just needs to work on his attitude and continuous effort.
D Pearce is as soft as my scrotum on a 45 degree day.

At least PMac actually makes a contest...

Wellingspud just stands there and waves his arms, or jogs to the next position

Yeah, not going to argue with that.

But he has speed, line breaking x factor power, and a nice long kick. Something I thought would be a priority for us.

Instead we chased Collingwoods tagger. Sweet as

No, he's not along but bit being his "first real year" as you call it, is hardly an excuse for his below average performances

I didn't really mean it as an excuse to be honest.

I meant that this has been the first season where we can properly judge his performances, and he's not alone in the midfield when it comes to below average performances. For the first half of this year we had a relatively fit midfield and every player in that midfield performed well below average - and because of that I think it's wrong to single out Wellingham because perhaps we are not seeing the entire picture. And personally I think the picture is a poorly coached, low on talent and tactically turd midfield.

But... what about Matt? Afl.com said he was our best, and that he "shone" for us

I just don't think its about performance, we are performing at the level that the talent dictates. And its as you say, low on talent turd midfield.

True. I think Wellingham is copping the rough end of it - he's been dropped and chastised in the media when Masten, Shuey (who copped some media attention), Selwood and Gaff have been just as poor overall as Wellingham.

Wellingham was dismal today. No effort with anything he did, stupid little pressure attempts and his overall attitude was no good. Reminds me of that one kid back in U12's that would always **** around at training.

He's definitely not the only one, Wellingham just stood out more than usual today.

Would agree with Maso. Was good in the first, went missing for the rest of the game

Sitting at the game today in the cold and rain, I had actually said to my wife "Did they sub masto at quarter time?"

I just think give him some WAFL time

If Ross Lyons was coaching us Wellingham would be in the magoos

He needs to learn ....I have defended him a few times this year but no more

He seriously doesn't compete nor does he chase ....or run to a spot the ball may go to
