Well, that wasnt good. I dont know which I am more annoyed at, our burning of the ball, or the armchair ride the Saints got after 1/2 time... umpire 25 a saints member?

So its only every second week that we turn up ??

The curse of the Red clash strip returns!

I'm so so so Angry We just can't lay a tckle to save our lives!! and how many more injuries are we gonna get it's getting ridiculous!!

cant blame the umps here, champ.

• Terrible, terrible disposal once again. Our disposal was pathetic against the Eagles, brilliant against the Hawks, and back to being pathetic again tonight. What the heck is wrong with our skills? One week brilliant, the next deplorable.

• Injury to Ben Rutten killed us and we were forced to play McGregor down back who really struggled against Gehrig as you would expect. Bock also carrying a groin injury hamstrung us.

• Riewoldt murdered us, and was easily the difference.

• We let Harvey and Hayes run amuck and they did as they pleased. They combined for 27 possessions in the third quarter, not good enough.

• Laughable umpiring tonight, quite literally laughable.

thats right, you can't

but **** me that deliberate knock out with a minute to go was certainly deliberate!!

Valiant effort with Roo injured, Bok injured and the big fella Rutten out - ruined our entire structure. With no Bass, we couldn't afford to lose Truck as well.

Tried hard, but that second quarter, where we completely switched off, killed us.

And the Umpires were shithouse, I'd love to see the inside 50 free kick count.

Mass deliberate out of bounds - Gehrig throws it out of bounds in the last five minutes, nothing. McGuire punches is straight out, nothing.

And our forwards, as much as I bag them a lot of the time, **** me, they get nothing from the umpires, meanwhile every time it went inside the Saints 50, they got a free.

Not the only thing that contributed to the loss but certainly a factor, especially in a 2 point loss. Are our forwards somehow playing under different rules to theirs?

Negatives from tonight:

Rutten's injury

Further realisation that Roo may need to give it away at the end of this season.

Further exposure of our midfield as front running receivers once they get 4 goals up.

The end of our Top 4 claims

Positives from tonight:

End of the "McGregor as a defender" debate. Surely that arguement is now dead and buried.

Another step towards structural change for our list.

Another step towards strategic change amoungst those who are directing our on field performance.

Another stella performance from Knights.

A further reality check

i know, thats whats so frustrating. but then we got 3 frees inside 50 early on. they were so much harder after 1/4 time. birss...

That often happens, we do alright early on but when it matters the free kicks seem to dry up.

birss will never play a better game than that...

harvey - killed us

gehrig - killed us

rewoldt - murdered us

umpires in the last few mins - shafted us

rucci - just wiping up

Surely now Griffen comes back in so we do actually have a tall that can move

I am sorry, but the umpires must have some sort of hate towards South Australia. That was a joke, so inconsistant. Mad me sick, one day I swear I am just going to give up on the AFL.

and yes yes i know we can't blame them, as we didn't play that well. But cmon, it was just a joke. Free kick count was again way out of line.

Craig got it wrong big time tonight. Massie worked last week in the wet slippery conditions against a non marking big guy. This week it was suicide. Reiwoldt, great mark in the perfect conditions of the Telstra Dome and we put a midfielder on him!!! Then he took a half to make the change, then he changed it back again.

Rutten didnt help but Reiwoldt was a problem before he went off.

And some shocking bloody disposal again. We need a shrink.

What? Hudson was close to our best tonight and Maric showed some more great signs for the future.

McIntyre WILL play next week as long as he plays well for North on Sunday.

Thankyou for summing up my feelings exactly. I'll say it again, are our forwards somehow playing under different rules to everyone elses? Seems our forward line can be scragged, pushed, pulled and taken high and get nothing but the oppositions get consistant frees inside 50.

MD, I thought Roo played alright, especially considering he was injured, and the fact that Rutten was off, Kenny/Stevens were down back, and Bock was half fit.

Didn't Roo have McGuire on him too?

I still question why, based on the ethos and the 'non-negotiables' upon which are team is meant to be built, why is Welsh still in the side? He may have kicked three goals - he started strongly, but once again, went missing when the heat was on. He frustrates the absolute shit out of me, if he could play a game with consistent intensity for 4 quarters, he'd be great, but he doesn't do it.

Indeed, a team should be able to win regardless of the umpiring decisions, but in a close games incidents like the deliberate out of bounds, and the hand across McGregors face that the umpires clearly got wrong do hurt the team.

What was the final count?

Perhaps we didnt have any other option but did any one else wonder why Massie was left to the slaughter for so long. Riewoldt single handedly dragged them back into the game giving them a target. I'm waiting for the stats to hit the website to see how many marks he ended up with. Love to have a target in the Crows colours like that, and then have him stand an opposition player half his size every week.

Didnt think Welsh was all that bad tbh and cmon guys dont use the umpires as an excuse. We were 4 goals up, if we start making excuses we are no better than the Socceroos.
