Has had a couple of these 'coming of age' games prior and has either gotten ahead of himself, or form has dropped away quickly thereafter. Wrapped he put in a solid perfomance but really want to see a few good performances strung together.

Has a big body, and in the absence of McLean I think he is the best option to play the inside mid role ahead of Hadley. Should play out the remainder of the year and any finals should we get that far.

I couldn't agree more with the ++Grigg sentiment on here and also have been a fan since his first game - HOWEVER - surely you guys would agree that IF it were KNOWN that his intentions were GC, then we'd be negligent not to look at other options within the ranks??!

Agree to a point. If the club knows he's gone then I'd question putting games into him solely on the basis of getting better compensation. I mean how much extra would GC part with if he played well for the rest of the season anyway. My understanding is that he is out of contract and is no GA jnr so the GC are not required to give us anything. (is that correct?)

The problem we have is Mclean is injured and Hadley apparently is not required in the seniors so Grigg is pretty much our only extractor/Judd protector at the moment in the mc's eyes and we definately need somone to play that role for the rest of the year.

The GC don't give up anything, but you receive compensation in future drafts, same as if Ablett goes. GC don't give Geelong anything, they get compensation fromt he AFL.

If he is going to GC, then it's not worth playing him as his value will hardly go up by playing an extra 5/6/7 games, but that would be extra experience to one of our players. Hope he stays at Carlton though. Reckon he will be good value to us in the future.

Sort of. There will be a set formula according to things like age, games played and the contract they get from GC. I'm not exactly sure how it works, and I don't think it has been finalised 100% yet.
