Ware is 21. You'd think if he was gonna get drafted he would have been already. Might have missed the draft boat.

Has potential tho. Exciting player.

Would be nice if footballers AFL careers werent over by the age of 21 if they havent been drafted yet.

Do you think that's correct??

If that's all he is he wouldn't be likely AFL material.
I think that correct as I seem to remember he was always a goal kicker and played KP but was overlooked in a draft because of not being the size of KPP but played like one. A bit like Darren Bradshaw.

I think he might be a kid from the country. I am pretty sure he was in North's zone but they overlooked him and Centrals pounced last year or the year before. Considering that he is only recent in the SANFL system, then he couldn't have been drafted.

I am pretty sure that if the player from SA is to be drafted he must be in SANFL system.

Not sure about that. He was assigned to Centrals last year and played Seniors so im sure he would have had a chance to enter the draft.

You're probably right but he might be a bit of a late developer.

Aaron Davey was running around for Magpies a couple of years ago but was overlooked despite playing some good footy. A year in VFL got him on a rookie list. I don't think its late for Ware to get a shot at AFL. If he has a very good year I am sure he will be up for consideration.

I understand what you are saying. Our admin wasnt that sharp at the time.

For mine however ...when exactly was he going to take this "long service leave"? Can someone tell me where we knocked him and the rest of them back and said sorry, you cant have this time off?

As I said earlier, They've got an annual job than runs from November to Sept every year. They know this when they sign their contract.

So when did they want to take this leave? Which year? Did they want to start their pre seasons in February? Have the pre season cup off? Take off rounds 5 - 9 and shoot off up to QLD? Imagine if that happened.

Thats how ridiculous these claims are.

It's a scam.

Now thats its started where will it stop?

Most of the players listed were injured every season. Its not like they played every week each year. Rehn and Mods had years out with knee injuries.Trigger and Liptak would rip a hammy every other minute.

These blokes are very luck they got to stay at home and play AFL footy. They should count their blessings, remember the good times and get on with things.

Suing the club will only make things worse for themselves in terms of their relationship with the AFC.

A couple of interesting player. Chadwick is a neat player who does everything well but is not great in any particular area. He kicked a ripper of a goal today. He could develop into a very good SANFL player but I am not too sure abotu AFL.

I reckon if Shephard continues good form he will get drafted. He is a bit of an excitement machine. At his size he is not KPP material for AFL but he is versatile and can play either end or on the wing. I have seen him on a couple of occasions now and he has impressed me. He has a bit of "bounce" about him. Interesting player. I heard he kicked 18 goals in one game in NTFL. Thats freakish.:)

I know what you mean, you watch the way he plays and he plays a lot taller. He's a lad from the Riverland - Dogwatcher knows a bit about him. I'm also surprised he didnt get picked up last year - even as a rookie. He's definatley earnt his spot in the CDFC side.

Mind you, Ricciuto and Burton are 182 cms and have played FF and forward pocket/flank.

True but they are more versatile. If they are having a dirty day in the forward line they could always be swung somewhere else like Midfield. With Prokopec its not quite the same. A bit of a one trick pony but a good one at that.

I don't agree. If you job doesn't allow you to take the chance to take the LSL, you can get it when you leave. As per any other job. Clearly here it is unrealistic to take time off during the season, so they instead claim it when they finish their careers - if they meet the requirements.

They get a little under two months off per year, but the length of the break can vary from less to more, although they are expected to keep in shape on their breaks. This, you must remember, takes into account they are often involved at the club 6 or 7 days a week during the season.

If they get injured, that's the nature of the sport. Doesn't affect LSL.

I have no problem with LSL.
