r dub if you want to discuss this properly then please take your 'The world is out to get Arsenal' crusade somewhere else.

It's not the fact he was inexperienced, it was moreso the fact you said this incident wouldn't have happened if he faced the challenge against the best defenders in the league. Still thats debatable, because JT goes into challenges very, very hard at times. If he was running that quickly and slid like he does, there is still the chance of an accident occuring, like it has done here.

Also I have to disagree with the comments with there being a high chance of breaking someones leg sliding/kicking in. You know that shinpad is there for a reason. Theres a high chance of injury when players are running at each other like they did, the momentum plays a much higher part in this than the hit itself.

See thats the problem an Arsenal supporter can't say anything without people like you automatically assuming we have the world against us mindset. Are you suggesting Shawcross is not one of the best defenders in the league? I guess he just got a call up to the England squad because he is average. Ye the momentum of Shawcross sliding and swining his boot in at high speed has "done it here".

Shawcross has a history of pathetic challenges but people chose to deny this and instead take aim at arsenal supporters.

Does anyone else struggle to understand that statement?

A rash challenge is not an accident good sir.

Rash - acting without due consideration or thought
accident - an unfortunate mishap; especially one causing damage or injury

Sure he could have had more thought about it but it is still an accident.

Mr Borgsta I did the homework you told me and came up with the following definitons:

  1. careless; heedless
  2. not regarding consequences; headlong and irresponsible; rash
Thanks for the suggestion though it was really relevant in this discussion.

So now you know it can be reckless yet still an accident as he had no intention of causing harm (IMO).

What do you expect when you make comments like this??

Your having a laugh if you think this would of happened to a chelsea or united player.

big debate in here.

It wasn't intentional, he wanted the ball but wasa bit careless.

I doubt he cried because of a red card, knowing you have ended a young players season or career and having to see a mangled leg of aplayer you just tackled is enough to shock the shit out of you

He needs to work on his split second tackling decisions, too often he will lunge in at the ball

If I drove my car and was speeding (being reckless) and hit you but had no intention of hurting you I guess it would be fine. It's the same principle you have a duty of care and if you do not act accordingly you are responsible for what has happened.

I stand by my claim it would not of happened to a chelsea or united player. People thinking 3 broken legs in four years due to "accidents" is beyond comprehension, so people just resort to the good ol "Arsenal fans think the world is against them" yet I have never mentioned anything else where I believe we are victims.

I don't expect any spurs fan to understand, after all your years of failure the psychological effects suffered are beyond repair unlike ramsey's leg.

I already said he will be held responsible. That doesn't mean it wasn't an accident.

Wow!

Yeah I'm sure you can discuss things logically. This is why people don't take you seriously. You claim there is some bias against Arsenal and then 10 seconds later bring up Spurs for no reason at all. What does being a mid table club have to do with understanding if an incident was accidental or not?

Why does this kind of thing only happen to Arsenal and not any other club?

Why do people bring up Gallas' tackle that has nothing to do with this incident?

Face it the likelihood of a spuds fan being able to look at a situation that involves arsenal neutrally is virtually 0% hence why I brought it up. It's like having the Jury for the OJ Simpson trial.

It happens at Arsenal becuase everyone believes we will lose if we are ruffed up physically, the problem is the lesser teams don't go about it the correct way. Manu and Chelsea physically dominate us the correct way unlike stoke, Brimingham and bolton that deliberatley snipe our players.

Those lesser teams will deliberately snipe every team. Its a tactic, albeit not one that should be looked upon in a good light, but if it works for them then good for them. For what they lack in players natural technical talent they make up in work rate and determination and physicality.

Btw, Shawcross is not one of the best defenders in the league. There are many players in a whole higher class than him. Also you were the one that insinuated this wouldn't have happened to any other team, hence why I said to cut out the world is against you mindset.

I "insinuated" that it wouldn't of happened to Man u or Chelsea not any other team.

oh goodness. Yes because I am a Spurs fan I enjoyed the fact that a promising footballers career has been ruined. You sir are a grade A ****wit.

And the reason Chelsea and Manu dominate you the correct way is because they are skillful enough to do it. Spurs are thought of the same way (ruff us up physically and we crumble) but we haven't had anywhere near that kind of injury.

I wouldn't put anything past a spurs fan, especially when it comes to Arsenal.

Don't ever compare your excuse of a football club to Arsenal, you will always be living in our shawdows. Tottenham is like the Nathan Ablett of the AFL without the silverware.

You sir are a mod, you should really set a better example for us posters. I am deeply hurt by your derogatory comments towards me. I demand an apology or you could just send me a message like ryan snipercross.

You live in Perth FFS. Do you think you are in the middle of London or something?

Sorry but that is very rich coming from you. The amount of negative things you have to say about Arsenal, you seem like the typical 'let's pretend we are living in our club's heartland' EPL fan.

I have nothing against the make believers just hypocrites.

I very rarely comment on Arsenal, I think the last comment I made was saying it was rich for Arsenal fans to complain about Ade's celebration when Henry did something very similar (albeit with a much superior goal).

I never said I like them but if you think I hate them more than any other team you should read my posts more. Please feel free to quote the negative things that I apparently say often. As it is I will leave you with a quote of mine

Chelsea
Arsenal
Man Utd

is my preference for who wins the title.

Actually Rocco your post really annoyed me so I will do some quoting for you. Tell me which of the following make it sound I think I am in London.

I prefer watching Chelsea when they do what they have been doing for the past 2 weeks but the fact is they don't do it every game, Arsenal do.

In the thread Chelsea play better football than Arsenal.

Bent, Chimbonda, Taarabt, Huddlestone, Bale is no worse than eduardo, djourou, gibbs, bendtener, aarshavin and ramsey.

Get your head out of your arse.

The 3 best players out of those 10 are all from Arsenal.

In a Tottenham thread about which team has better depth players.

Mike Dean should never be allowed to ref in the league again after the pathetic showboating that he did with the sending off.

He knew that it was Eboue's sending off yet spent 40 seconds booking Modric and actually spoke to Eboue at least twice in those 40 seconds. Then he lets him walk away for a third time before showing him the 2nd yellow / red. Disgusting display to let Eboue think he was going to stay on whilst prancing around making sure the camera stayed on himself for as long as possible.

Mike Dean you are a ****wit of the highest order.

*yes this is really me posting this about an Arsenal player being sent off against Tottenham.

I started this thread.

You should have put Tottenham above Arsenal Borgsta. Imagine if that actually happens this year. :o

If I thought we would I would have. Don't really care what Arsenal do either way.

Predictions thread for this season.

Genuine apologies Borgsta, I got you confused with the other Borgsta who goes for Tottenham (which I guess is pretty insulting in itself, so double apologies).
