Is anyone surprise?

The word on the game this week is that it is a final. Well, let's just destroy them and say, that's as close as they will come to a final this season.

It's bloody well time we beat them over there.

Last time was Peter Matera's 7 goal effort in 1998 wasn't it?

I have to say I think Sheed's has set himself up a little with his comments this week.

TRUE, Essendon do need to treat this game like a final to keep their season alive.

But also TRUE, the fact WC will make the top 8 again and need plenty of "finals type" experience going in. If I was Worsfold I'd be revving the boys up for a May Preliminary Final and throw the challenge at them to see if they are the REAL DEAL yet or not.

There really is little to lose by going in with all guns hammering as the next weeks game is at Subi against the Bulldogs who I think are almost shot for the year now.

Adam Hunter, your head is needed once more...

I think Sheedy will be banking on this game as a win. Essendon will bring back Lloyd and Fletcher and Sheeds will probably play funny-buggers on Hird and make up his decision on Sunday morning.

I would think the Bombers players have really started to crack the ****s with Sheedy over the years and his constant mind playing through the media - I know it would **** me off fiercely if I were a player and constantly saw my coach talking things up.

I can't wait for this game, hopefully we can chalk up another win and we are most certainly capable of doing it because they're midfield isn't the strongest, especially after they're starting mids tire.

Sheedy can bill you game anyway he likes, bottom line is that it is just another game in a long season. One I personally would LOVE to win because I absolutely love beating the Bombers. But to the players it should just be another game and another chance to consolidate our top 4 position.

Hopefully the Eagles can win, I have confidence in them but this winning streak in getting lengthy and the law of averages has to kick in sooner or later.

As long as it's the average from 91 :D

Actually might be some parallels there with now - wasn't 91 Malthouses 2nd year as Eagles coach
