We did one of these a few years back. Basically a complete redraft of the Shield. Given there are 6 teams I suppose 6 entries would be the best number of entrants. I didn't realise this guy had such an impressive record. Daniel Solway to shore up my middle order with a FC batting average of 48! Granted, he's only 10 games into his career, but slim pickings to be had at this stage.

1. Josh Philippe
2. Usman Khawaja
3. Shaun Marsh
4. Daniel Solway
5.
6. Mitch Marsh
7. Matthew Wade (+)
8. Pat Cummins
9. Jhye Richardson
10. Jason Behrendorff
11. Jon Holland

3. Smith
4. McDermott
5. Stonis
6. Pierson

eth-dog given Chris Lynn has not retired from FC cricket (to my knowledge anyway), is he eligible to be taken? As there are only sh*t lords left I'd rather take a bloke who can actually bat and averages mid 40s in the whites.

corbies when I saw the mad react I assumed it was going to be for the underhanded Lynn selection haha. Do you rate Solway?
I was banking on the perennial underrating of NSWman on this board to get him with my last pick. He has played some classy knocks in his short career so far and has a great record in Sydney Test Cricket.

I'm going to say he's ineligible as he's been retired from FC cricket I believe for a few years now.

I had my eyes on another player here, but I think selecting Nick Larkin brings a greater deal of balance to a shifted batting order. Moving Wade to 3 and Philippe into the middle order makes it look a lot stronger to me. The opening options left aren't great and he's averaging 50 this year.

1. Nick Larkin
2. Usman Khawaja
3. Matthew Wade
4. Shaun Marsh
5. Daniel Solway
6. Mitch Marsh
7. Josh Philippe (+)
8. Pat Cummins
9. Jhye Richardson

7. Alex Carey

Pick 66: fu** IDK Hilton Cartwright I guess? Has been bad for 3 seasons now but did play test cricket and still averages 37 at Shield level even given his recent form. Is only 28 so has time to rekindle his early career form. Can also bowl some handy mediums and is a very good fielder.

Pick 67: Jack Wildermuth - I did have a much funnier 12th man option ready to go but Wildermuth will compete with Cartwright for the no.6 spot depending on conditions. Often takes the new ball for QLD and bats in the top 6.

1. Joe Burns
2. Bryce Street
3. Kurtis Patterson
4. Peter Handscomb
5. Glenn Maxwell
6. Hilton Cartwright
7. Tim Paine (+) (c)
8. Joel Paris
9. Scott Boland
10. Nathan Lyon
11. Josh Hazlewood

12. Jack Wildermuth

Aussie_boy Good luck with your final pick.

4. Travis Head
5. Matt Renshaw
6. D'Arcy Short
7. Peter Nevill (+)

As a Western Australian, I'm happy with the four-pronged pace attack, and Agar as a decent-enough spinner and handy number six batter. But if this imaginary game takes place on a spinning wicket, I want to be able to bring in a second spinner - Beau Webster

1. David Warner
2. Aaron Finch (capt)
3. Tom Cooper

7. Alex Carey (wk)

While he’s on a horror run this guy is probably the best option left, and really could get a run in a few XIs on here - Ashton Turner.
