First final in my lifetime. Can't believe this day has arrived!
All this talk about how disgraceful SA cricket is. This season it's really turned around:
One day: Finalists (vs Australia pretty much )
T20: Semi finalists
Shield: in to the final
Sayers and Head the stand out performers been through the grade system all the way.
Lehmann - had a breakout season and came through grade system.
Carey, Valente and Opie debut all came through the grade system.
Andrews been here since 16-17 yrs of age.
Not as bad an outlook some have suggested.

This season has definitely been the turning point. Just look at the ages of all those players you've listed, SA cricket looks in good hands for a good while.

Shame that if we get a home final that it can't be at Adelaide Oval, reckon there would've been a chance of setting a first class attendance record (possibly in modern times) if we happened to be looking good

And we've made the final without Richo and Ferg.
It hasn't been easy being a SACA fan over the past 20 years, the job isn't done yet but we've made a Shield Final...... brilliant.
Now we just need Raph and Cosgrove to get a few runs, if they make the side which now is almost certain.

From next year Adelaide Oval No. 2 will be available for 1st class matches which will be great!

If Vics were to get up, SA would be taking two Territorians into the final, Weatherald and Andrews who surely would come in for Opie on that wicket.

Won't it be the size of a New Zealand cricket ground? Looks that way since the redevelopment
Probably but it will be great to still be right next to the true home ground. They might even use the same changerooms.

Don't think we will have to worry about that now.
Naturally I'll be hoping for a win if NSW make the final but I will say it's pleasing to see the Redbacks make it for their long suffering fans.
