Assume it will be Zampa in for Richardson for us. Very handy that Mennie was able to fly back and play rather than serve as 12th man for the Aussie team.

Interested to see the wicket. The pitches at AO improved a lot last season. Much more sporting, fair for both teams and conducive to results. It seemed that the experimenting around the pink ball stuff opened their eyes up to what is possible in terms of grass cover, preparing wickets later, amount of moisture left in.

Good toss to win for Tassie. SA have a pretty strong top 13-14 this season so it'll be interesting to see how far they can go.

Looks like Sayers could be in for a big season. I don't think he should play for Australia though. There are better options.

Couple of interesting overs for Worrall in that first session.

Bailey dropped by Lehmann at 3rd slip. Next ball caught by Cooper at 1st... no ball.

Next over snick behind... celebrations, ball thrown to square leg umpire, high fives all round... Not out says Umpire Strikesback. Cue disbelief.

Next ball snick behind... out.

Then a wide.

Getting embarrassing for Tasmania now.

Is Bird injured? Hasn't bowled since tea.

Loved that 12th man reference!

Seems like SA have finally found a good opening combination.

It's good that they're continuing to back the young players.
Smith has to learn to keep his bat straight, not the first time hes nicked off trying to work it.

He has a ton of potential though
