For SA fans - how does Andrews look with the bat? Is he a face a lot of balls and accumulate kind of guy, or has some attacking shots in his arsenal?

The Redbacks looking at an innings defeat. Tasmania can keep batting without too much urgency for the time being. Perhaps pick up the pace after lunch and see if they can stretch the lead to 300 and have an hour at us tonight. Should be all over by lunch tomorrow.

Why would you declare at lunch? Declare at tea and you have 4 sessions to bowl SA out in and a lead of 330.

Tassie has a long tail to have a slog later on.
Time is the issue here not runs. 200 run lead is more than enough to win.

Pope is seriously bowling a long hop every over. Must be frustrating for his team mates to see 1-2 good balls and over, mixed with 1-2 free boundaries.

If you're a batsman you must really look forward to playing the Redbacks

Weren’t people hoping he’d kick on to play for Australia after he tore up that one game?

This isn’t grade level. Maybe it’s early season kinks, but every single thing about his action looks wrong - he builds no momentum in his run up, there’s no power through the crease, his arm is too high, and there’s no follow through whatsoever. His spin comes entirely from the shoulder, which limits variety and is going to destroy his shoulder.

How did he get this far, seemingly only on natural ability, without a coach that knew what they were doing? Isn’t Warnie the new spin doctor? Where’s he?

I’ve been watching him for 2 days now tearing more and more hair out.
