WA XIII
  • 10. Mitchell MARSH (c)
  • 4. Cameron BANCROFT
  • Alex BEVILAQUA (SS debut)
  • 39. Will BOSISTO
  • 35. Hilton CARTWRIGHT
  • Clint HINCHCLIFFE (SS debut)
  • 95. Josh INGLIS (+)
  • 12. Matt KELLY
  • 33. Simon MACKIN
  • 20. Shaun MARSH

  • 8. Jon WELLS

In: Bancroft, Bevilaqua, Hinchcliffe, Mackin, S.Marsh
Out: Ashton AGAR (T20), D'arcy SHORT (T20), Marcus STOINIS (T20)

Missing Agar, Short and Stoinis through international commitments and Behrendorff, Coulter-Nile and Paris through injury, WA have been forced to include 2 debutants in their 13 man squad. Hinchcliffe is a left-handed middle order batsman who can also pitch in with his slow left-arm orthodox. Bevilaqua is a fast bowler.

NSW XIII
  • 20. Peter NEVILL (c)(+)
  • 5. Harry CONWAY
  • 9. Trent COPELAND
  • 27. Ed COWAN
  • Mickey EDWARDS (FC debut)
  • 21. Moises HENRIQUES
  • 3. Daniel HUGHES
  • 36. Nick LARKIN
  • 67. Nathan LYON
  • 53. Nic MADDINSON
  • 17. Kurtis PATTERSON
  • Gurinder SANDHU
  • Charlie STOBO

In: Edwards, Henriques, Lyon, Sandhu, Stobo
Out: Sean ABBOTT (omitted), Doug BOLLINGER (retired), Stephen O'KEEFE (ankle)

Despite Bollinger retiring earlier in the week and the unavailability of the Test fast bowlers, the NSW selectors have finally lost patience with the underperforming Sean Abbott (7 wickets @ 49.00) and have not named in him in the 5 quicks they will taking west. He is currently playing with the NSW Metro team in the Futures League.

Henriques has relinquished the captaincy to Nevill.

It's at the WACA. Certainly less of a factor.
I just thought they'd include another batsman who could spin the ball, but I forgot that Bosisto can also bowl tidy offies

Checked out the QLD v Tas game to see if all the streams are down... First ball I watched Bird bowled a ball outside off, the ball was let through to the keeper and Wade missed the ball going through for 4 byes.

Any reason why Nic Maddinson was left out?

Dropped. Averaging 17.70 over 10innings with zero 50s and zero 100s

But still think they should have played him. Batting looks short otherwise and did they really need Stobo/Edwards when HENRIQUES can bowl
