Good to see Simon Mackin back to form. Was on fire 12 months ago and dropped off at the back end of the shield last season(from memory) and wasn't as great at the start of the season.


Whats his average pace like? Is he a +140kph type?
Haven't seen much of him lately but don't reckon he would hit 140 with much regularity but with his height it wouldn't be so essential.

Definitely got international potential I reckon.
 
Just going on the eye test, but Mackin definitely more a 130's bowler.

Big and tall in the mould of Morkel, but not quite as aggressive and doesn't need to be so much at shield level where there is greater reward to be had for steady and consistent awkward line and length. Absolutely should be in the frame for upcoming tour games and A tours to see how he develops.
 
NSW playing 5 bowlers and batting Copeland at #7 has cost them yet another game. Its such a dumb strategy especially when you have Henriques there.

Another batsman for NSW would probably have changed the game. That 30odd from Bevalaqua on debut proved pretty useful
